Wheelchair ramp

I just got a new scooter, and it's made my life so much easier! The only problem is getting it in and out of the house. I really need a wheelchair ramp. This his hard for me because I've always been a do it yourself person. But with the incredible amount of disability that I receive (🥴) I just can't afford the materials to get it done. I have plenty of people who want to help build it,but I just need some financial assistance. Is there anyone who knows of any programs to help with getting this done? If so,how can I contact them? Thank you in advance!

Contact MSAA, MS Focus, as well as any local organazations who might be able to help, Call Lowe's, Home Depot. (?) explain your situation, and ask them if they can help. I know it is HARD to ask for help, or even admit that you need the help, but it will be even harder if you can't get into your home...I've been where you are now. I am so grateful that I never Have to climb those awful stone steps to get into my house again! I can, if I want to, or feel up to it, but I usually choose my wonderful new ramp! I wish you well Jesusfreak72. Let us know how you are getting along....

Is there a local Habitat for Humanity near you? I think some not only build new homes but help people to stay in their homes/ retrofit as well. Might be worth checking?

Lions clubs/Elks clubs sometimes help disabled modify their homes. Good luck!

Also check with your City Hall. They might have programs already that can help with that or know who can.

Try your local fire department but don't bring lithium ion batteries into your house they can catch fire
