Ocrevus Day!

Hello! I'm new here and relatively new to MS. I was diagnosed in September of 2021 and started treatment with Ocrevus in November on 2021! Anyways, tomorrow is my Ocrevus Infusion day and I have an infected cut on my hand. I know they are going to ask me about infections tomorrow, but does that really count? Or are they primarily concerned about infections like a uti or respiratory infections? I'm really feeling drained, and some of my previously "resolved" symptoms are returning. I know that's not the goal of Ocrevus, but it sure is great! I'm ready for my infusion, which really helped my fatigue last time around. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Welcome! I hope tomorrow goes well for you 🎉 The infusion nurse can look at it and decide.

Happy infusion day, Mialynn! Maybe it will not matter that your cut is infected? I don't know. Your infusion nurse should know! Best wishes! And welcome!

I’ve never been asked about a cut on my skin. I hope you get good rest during your infusion!!

Welcome! Hope the infusion goes well. Not sure about the cut on your hand. I guess it would depend on how bad it is? Hope it all works out for you 😊❤️

Your doctor my be concerned about it and what your white count is because the infusion will wipe out which would not help your cut.Or the steroids could help it. See what your Doctor recommends.

i agree it does help in so many ways ...i would call the doctor about the infection ...they always ask if any open sores so i don't know how much they want and will except ...i wouldn't want to miss my apt either but you do want to be safe and want it to go good...call the doctor right now ....take care and this is hoping it isn't bad enough....love and happiness ...
