Has anyone had lower WBC while taking Ocrevus? How low? And what did your neuro do about it?
Have been on Ocrevus for 2 yrs and my WBC started dropping a month or 2 before my Jan infusion. It has continued dropping & is at 2.7 along with low neutrophils. Neuro not concerned. Your thoughts?
*** Update: I had an issue late 2021 & had an episode of Hepatitis (non-viral/hepatic injury) never determined what caused it. Liver #s rebounded but my WBC kept low. In Jan 2022 my PA (Pittsburgh MS Clinic) said if it drops below 2.9 Ocrevus could be held...so naturally I became concerned esp when it is now 2.7. Hematologist said no worries absolutely normal with CD20 meds...just wondered why it went from poss being held to now is normal?? Fortunately my IGG is normal. My 4th infusion is 8/12.----THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR RESPONSES.

I don't know if that's weird. Mine dropped a point below baseline during treatment and rebounded 2 points when I stopped. I was never out of the normal range. Is your neuro a MS specialist?
I've been on Ocrevus for 5 years now and my WBC and B cells are always below the norm but my Neurologist says that's normal. I feel fine except during the crap gap when my MS tries to take over again.
My neurologist monitors my WBC, among other things, and doesn’t seem too concerned about it. But a talk with your neurologist might be in order here? Let them know that you’re concerned. They could allay your fears. Let us know what they say, and until then, keep smiling, MoparMom
This is a first for me [WBC] is white blood cells right? My neuro is an MS specialist & she has never mention anything about it, I will ask on my next visit I will be starting my 5th yr on Ocrevus. Mary
My WBC went down too. All the DMTs I've been on lowered my WBC. It's the WBC that attacks the myelin in your brain so the drugs actually try to lower the amount in your system. This is why it's very important to try to keep away from as many germs as possible.
