Before MS

Before I had MS I was a active outdoorsman. Now I paint the past. This painting I did was part of my life. Because of my past it has given me a another talent and something to enjoy the memories. When you lose one thing you gain another. You just have to find it.

It’s as good as a photograph. Another masterpiece, you get better each painting, I love it. When are you going to display all your works in an art gallery? Keep us updated if you decide to. Blessings Jimeka 👍

We can identify: there's a life before and a life after, in many ways these lives are simultaneously the same and different. Some of what remains the same are the things we love, the outdoors, the music and laughter, the gathering with friends...as our abilities change and we continue, we find new ways to enjoy what we love. Your painting takes me to a morning in the past, the mist rising off the stream...I hear the sound of the line parting the air before it drops onto the water, see the swirl of the trout rising from the pool to take the fly, and recall the scent of fish grilled over a wood fire. Your painting takes me there, away from here and now. Thank you.

What it gave me, is an understanding of how disabled people live their lives. How we are still the same people, but a different version of our old selves. And also, how others see us. And I know, I used to be 'abled', so I understand that most people don't really understand. And that's OK, I used to be one of them.

Are you no longer to fly fish at all? I've always wanted to try fly fishing. My dad is an avid fisherman but says that fly fishing is too hard and prefers any other fishing practice. There seemed to be something about the experience of the journey to destination and the meditative actions do fly fishing that always attracted me.

No longer fly fishing it's too much work to enjoy. Especially when you have to carry as much medical supplies as you do fishing equipment
