I would like to thank everyone for prayers and giving me insight of SSD about a mth ago. I was approved for Partially Favorable Disability after waiting 6wks for the decision. I’m very thankful in the event I was praying for Fully Favorable in order to be insured. Will have to wait patiently for 2yrs for Medicare and believing all will go well in the meantime. Thanks everyone!

Awesome! Happy for you. What does partially favorable mean? Are you in the US? When I got approved for social security I didn't hear that term.

Thank you. I will receive monthly compensation(SSD) in the event I will have to wait for Insurance(SSDI) a total of 2yrs. Will wait patiently and trust God it will come sooner. Grateful for what have been done already with believing for the rest to come soon. I’m located in the US. Many blessing your way🙏🏾

***In a partially favorable decision, the applicant is granted disability benefits but the judge sets the EOD later than the date alleged by the applicant on the disability application (AOD). A partially favorable decision can also be an approval for a "closed period" of benefits. This happens when the ALJ determines that the applicant was disabled for a period of time, but is no longer disable.

Oh. I don't know then about mine. After I got approved the next month I got a check and then I had to wait 2 years for my medicare. That was 3 years ago. Very happy to have the Medicare now because my health insurance cost went way down. I worry about them not continuing. Hopefully everything continues to go smooth for you.

I am grateful that you will receive SSI, but I wish you could also have gotten the Medicare. Have a great day! Love, Kelly

I am happy for you! But, a partial is kinda ridiculous with a neurological condition like MS. Like MS ever improves lol. Honestly, they do that to save the state money for two years. ALJ's are told to do that. Usually it's shorting back pay and deciding the date of disability wasn't as far back. I guess they are getting even more desperate....

Thank you so much. I know MS is a badge you carry many have been told for life. When it comes to determines who qualify for the fully favorable can be hard to understand. It does shorten the back pay which can be hurtful for many that have waited so long to be approved. In the event something is better than nothing. As of today my days are getting closer to Insurance🙏🏾

Glad you are getting some relief. It seems crazy that they don't just let you apply for the insurance too. Are you on the Obama care plan or any other insurance?

Thank you. Not at present. My Cobra just ended and was hoping to get an extension for another few mths in order to remain on same meds. When I check with ACA it doesn’t pay for the Med I’m on. Also the deductibles are very expensive before they pay for a lot of things that I need. So will continue to do research in the meantime to see how all this will work with ACA🙏🏾

Many meds have helpful agencies to pay for MS meds. I take Aubagio and could never have afforded it without them.

Yes. Instead of staying on the same meds my doctor submitted information to Biogen program🙏🏾

yay! another step in an arduous process accomplished! keep your medical bills. right when you receive medicare, they'll ask you about past bills you may owe on and pay most, if not all, of them.

I know right it really involves a lot over the yrs. A person having to deal with with their sickness fighting for income and insurance after working the majority of your life. Thanks for the helpful information and great to know. I’m thankful and who knows the law may change before the waiting period of Medicare. Grateful and remaining hopeful and thankful to God for the Judges and Lawyers that represent us. Thank you so much🙏🏾

right? my dad worked from a teen (he was from the states). always, sometimes 3 jobs. he was diagnosed with parkinson's and had to wait another 3 years for full benefits. it's ridiculous.
