As scientific knowledge develops, bit by bit, we come closer to understanding to what definitively triggers the MS process. Though we understand the mechanism, and have found treatments to slow the damage in some, we are far from prevention or cure. Someday, science may arrive at an understanding of how to repair the damage in every individual and reverse the process. We are decades away,, of course, but every little bit helps.
