Prayers are with you and your family 🙏🙏🙏👍 Hang in there and try to stay positive. We have a hard to getting different drugs approved in the USA and can’t hardly imagine how hard it is for you 😔 If it wasn’t for insurance a lot of us would not be able to afford the drugs we take. 😉🤗🤗🤗

gavingiovannoni.substack.co... like this answer to diet. There are a lot of them to choose from that promise relief from symptoms, but most of them ignore other lifestyle factors, like sleep, stress, exercise, that can be as effective…and if I had control over my own schedule (kids come first) I would work on my whole person.

i read an article once that described ms pain in a way able bodied people could understand. they said something like, 'imagine getting your worst hangover and staying up for 2 days. that's how people with ms feel.' i'm very loosely paraphrasing, but yes, in addition to making sure you eat lots of vegetables, fruits and lean meats, sleep is of the utmost importance. no matter what symptom you have, i promise it's worse if you don't get enough sleep!

i read you have bipolar as well. my father had parkinson's and diabetes. he ate whatever he wanted and i kept lecturing him. many people have more than one illness. when that happens, you have to work extra hard to make sure you take care of both illnesses as worsening of one often affects the other(s), so keep taking your meds and following your psychiatrist's advice while you work on getting your ms under control.🤗

Sleep quality has been a huge factor for me. You can search for tips on “sleep hygiene” if you think yours could be improved. Exercise, stress, and diet can impact sleep, and vice versa.

There is no best diet for MS - a healthy diet for a PwMS is the same as a healthy diet for a person without MS.

msbites.com/multiple-sclero...

It's very simple - eat plenty of vegies and fruit and stay away from processed foods and sugary drinks etc. None of the so-called "MS diets" have any really solid scientific evidence to back them up.

Yes, you're right on - there's no special diet for MS. BUT, if you can't move, then keep fat and sugar low. Just like others do.

There is no diet proven to be good for MS. Although some diets are good for overall health - which can help with MS.
