I'm exhausted, like laying on the couch, for the past, what's today? Trash day. That's not happening. Oh 4 days now.
Sleep is a good thing π΄ but 18 hrs? Then couch sleeping?
My cognitive? Well if I can get this done halfway done itwill be a miracle. Thank you Google.
Balance and slurring is also going on.
Went to PCP Yesterday I'm smart! Sometimes. No UTI no sinus infection. Blood work done. Today. Now neuro can call me back. Again. Help and good night! π€ππ

Oh, Jesmcd2! Sometimes it just gets old trying to lift your head up from the pillow! I truly understand, I have lived with this DX for 32 years! Hopefully, tomorrow will be better!
This 'ms' certainly has us guessing as to whether we will have a 'good' day, or not. Hoping that you will feel better soon and that 'good' days will become the norm.
I went in for my physical therapy on Monday morning, although my appointment was Monday late afternoon. When I actually saw her I told her that I actually hadnβt even done any of my own stretches or exercises that I supposed to do because I was so wiped out from our last appointment.
She said that her patients (she only sees people who have MS) have been coming in thinking that they are having a relapse. She is thinking that it has a lot to do with the weather change. Here in western NY it went from winter to summer. We kinda skipped spring.
I usually thrive in heat & suffer in damp cold. But this year when the change was so drastic, it hit my body muscularity, nerves, & my sleep cycle was wacky (9 hr @ night & more throughout the day)
So this thing that you are going through could be a weather induced set back & should go away after the initial shock.
Wow there must be something in the air. Iβve been absolutely exhausted the last 3 days. I went to my pcp yesterday to and all was good no infections so that only leaves one thing.
Iβm sorry your going thru the same cause I feel like a worm with all the crap slung out of it.ππ π€£.
I think most of us know M.S. fatigue well. It stays with you forever at some point, unless you fight it. Add in, normal fatigue, from other causes, and it will wipe you out. I lived roughly a couple years as I refer to as "comatose". Too tired cognitively to even watch the simplest of programs on TV. Couldn't do it because I couldn't follow the simplest of stories. I'm talking stupid sit-com on 10x a week. Got lost quickly, couldn't remember even what I was watching. Don't even think about reading, more less do anything of value. Sleeping? Add in lack of it, due to pain at night, and you have a perfect storm. You've got to figure out what YOU can do to help yourself. Yes it's M.S., but you need to figure out what else may also be contributing and eliminate what you can. I also had this thing with cognitive fatigue, the brain fog, and eating. I helped it by stopping eating! Literally. Ate one meal a day, at night, went comatose. Woke up okay, did alright, till I ate. Comatose. Noticed as soon as I ate, the fog rolled in. No matter what I ate. 1 egg, nothing else. An hour later, lost in the fog. Tried juicing only. No fog. Tried vita mixing, No fog....worked back up to real food, but real food, not today's factory made engineered chemistry doctored food. Healthy non-processed food. Mostly fruits and vegetables, seasoned with spices...but add in small amounts of lean meats and fish too once in a while.
Anyway, let your doctors, all of them, do their job to make sure all else is okay. And YOU, look for other things that may be contributing...like pain?, insomnia?....what you are eating and drinking?...How many meds are you on? And what are the side effects?
Work with your doctors. Did that for years. For me, with my Doctors' approval, and/or recommendation, undid meds. After years of several types of DMT's as they were developed,... like a house of cards, eliminating one, cancelled out the need for another or two, and cancelling those, eliminated the need for others, till I was on, and still am, on nothing! I treat the pain that kept me up nights with a high CBD strain of cannabis or hemp. I treat the RLS, with Magnesium Citrate, (Magnesium being the main ingredient in over the counter RLS meds), turns out, if deficient in Magnesium, the RLS will flourish. Enough Magnesium, problem solved.
For the FATIGUE, already mentioned, pain/sleep/food/nutrition/add exercise. But when at your best doing all you can do, if all else fails, a SATIVA gummy, or an energizing strain of cannabis flower, and you're good to go take on the world! Or at least the 5 mile walk over the course of the day, or the lawn work with my powered walker that cuts the grass as I walk (power driven hand mower), or the weekly shopping at all 5 stores, to get the biggest bargains on healthy food...But that last one, shopping all over town, requires driving. So gotta do that one as soon as the stores open, because no driving any day after cannabis use, or any other meds that affect driving, or alcohol, or... BUT, on Sativa, I CAN WALK to the nearest store and back, about 1.5 miles from my house! Always have to pick up more veggies of one kind or another. Doesn't matter that the fridge is packed with them....always need that one that you're out of.
An Energizing Strain of Sativa. Not all sativa's are created equal. Do your own research. Don't take your dispensary's advice. They have... & they are there to sell... No different than...buying anything?
No script I ever had. (Okay, my doc's never prescribed anything dangerous). No amount of caffeine. No energy drink. (My in the know on this topic Neurologist "prescribed" cannabis by the way, before anyone in this state could get it). Nothing energizes like this, on a healthy diet!
From a walker (as in the Walking Dead), a real zombie, to a walker, that does a minimum of 10K steps a day....Yeah, I think I'm doing okay!
