Hi very stressful two days and left leg just died on me, dragging it. As I recall we have to wait 24 hours to be sure it’s an ms attack? Sorry I’ve had it for 20 years but don’t really want to drag myself to the hospital for steroids as I do have my ocrevus on Sunday but also don’t want to risk the leg any advice?

Can you call your Neuro and talk to her/him about this? I would try that first. If you have been under a lot of stress, it may be a pseudo relapse, or inflammation of old/existing lesion(s). Good luck and many blessings.

I would definitely call your Neurologist! Years ago the bottom part of my right leg stopped working and I waited. It was another attack that took along time for me to get over(the best I could). It doesn’t hurt to call. Best wishes to you! 😊

An aggressive strategy for dealing with this kind of attack: if your left leg hasn't had an attack before, I would head straight to the ER and ask the treating doctors call your neuro from there, where the ER can administer the first dose of steroids immediately if ordered to. However, if this leg has had MS activity previously, I would still call the neuro for advice and a follow up, I wish you strength to get through this attack!

I would try to avoid ER if possible, lots of sick people there some with COVID. Call the neuro for advice instead.

Ouch tough one call dr they should prescribe steroids over phone you shouldn’t have to go in. Good luck sorry for your situation

Steroids may provide the answer to identify if MS is the cause. Can one get steroids and Ocrevus at the same time so you only have to make one trip to the hospital?
