Hi Guys! Just wanted to ask if anyone remembers Christina Applegate who started as Kelly on Married with Children, and then did some other stuff like Don't tell Mom the Babysitter is Dead, and few more.. I read last evening that she came out on Monday to say that she was Dx'd with MS a couple of months ago. I was surprised and little dismayed, to be honest. to think another poor soul was going to have to deal with this horrible disease. yahoo.com/lifestyle/christi...

we do need anyone with a big name to help put out the word about this thing they all call MS...money does help...

Christina is a big advocate for many things. When she was dx'd with breast cancer she was all about getting the word out and setting up fundraisers and stuff to raise money for under- privileged women to have mammograms etc.. So while she is asking for privacy at the moment, I suspect she will come out swinging when she learns all she can about this disease and the fact that there is no cure and few good treatments available for many of us.

I hope so. I also heard she asked for privacy. All I could think was, "C'mon! Speak up and make some noise!"

I am sure she will once she comes to terms with the Dx.. i mean she said she just was dx'd a couple of months ago.. it took me 6 months or longer to really wrap my head around around it and even n0ow I now i struggle with it

I remember the show but I was never a big fan usually working at the time they were on. I will send prayers up for her.

Yes! And I agree with being hopeful that she will be a good voice for the disease. Her openness about breast cancer makes me think she will get to that point with MS. She needs time, that's all. And support.
