My daughter, who has CMT, tried out a pair of Medicmac Hot and Cold Therapy socks to help with the burning in her feet. She said they helped immensely, so I thought I'd pass her review on here. I just ordered some NatraCure Hot/Cold socks to use for my alternating burning/icy feet. I'll let you know how I like them.
Please ignore the negative review from someone who walked in them, breaking the gel packs, even though the instructions clearly stated that they are not intended for use while walking.
Has anyone used either of these brands?

They have gel packs which either be frozen or warmed in the microwave. My daughter’s version may be used either way, but she used them frozen. She said she actually had to put a pair of socks on first because they were too cold otherwise. The cold lasted about an hour.
May i just say that Im an eagle mom...my son got his at 15.My point being is that seriously Id give you your eagle if i could cause you are so research helpful!!!!!!
have you tried truely crushed ice and putting it underneath to help the top.this way it isnt on the foot...i know when not to touch mine too.thought this idea may help.
I used to have the burning feet issue, but has calmed down considerably. I checked all the listed side effects of the meds I was taking, and eliminated or changed the ones that listed "burning" such as lipitor and hydrochlorothiazide. I do have neuropathy, but not so much burning anymore. My feet sweat and I have to change shoes to get more cooling, but the burning has stopped mostly. I have a couple of similar options for cooling that I might drag out and try again. Thanks for sharing this idea.
i'm super excited to look into these. where i live i'm forced to sweat buckets during warm months to use the kitchen b/c of my heat intolerance. even though she keeps the AC on, she keeps it so warm i have to go on a different floor to recover. i hope they work!
Hope it works for you. I've literally tried a shallow bucket full of ice water, for the first minute or two, relief, after that, nothing. Then started thinking if I waited long enough all the ice would melt and the water would start boiling. Obviously not. Good luck!
