Bioness L300 GO
I have used the L300 Go for over 2 years. It works great for me. Unfortunately Medicare doesn't pay for any of it. I don't know about private insurance. I applied for grants from the MS Foundation and the MS Society. They helped a little. The cuff is rather expensive and you also need to purchase electrodes periodically. Hope this helped with some of your questions.
I have worn the bioness L300 and now the L300 go I have worn it for over 8yrs and I love it I have the thigh and calf cuff.
If you do get it make sure to get the insurance and get the remote dont let them convine you into using the app people had issues with it. Also with the remote you dont have to figure out which setting you're on because it all on the remote and you don't have to fumble with the brace which is under all of you clothing. I'm sure you dont want to stop to pull up your pants leg to adjust the settings
Medicare will not cover it. Depending on your insurance they may cover it. My bioness rep helped me with the insurance to get the brace. I had to have my dr and pt fill out forms and bioness submitted them.
As for the pads that go into each brace if you buy a years supply its cheaper than if you buy a month at a time. Since I've worn the brace for a long time I know how to make them last longer than what they say to wear the pads
You can get the brace adjusted as many times as you need too. In the summer I bring the pulse down and in the winter I bring it up
You stay with the same rep who fits you with the brace, I only changed my rep when one moved out of state and the other got a promotion.
I like mine but find that it doesn’t work for everything. For example, I live in fla where there are frequent rain storms so I don’t use when i go for a walk and I think it may rain. I can’t wear with my yoga pants (I have the thigh and calf bioness). I find that it tries too hard to control my foot in a neutral position when doing side to side or twisting like in Zumba class.
here is a trick when it rains.
wrap the brace in saran wrap to protect it from the rain.
for the calf cuff when I had the L300 it fell off and the tech for bioness told me that the battery came off alot of peoples braces so he had me the put packing tape over the battery so now just from that experience I have tape over mine now.
Thank you 😊
no problem after so many years of wearing the brace you learn things
here's one more tip you can wear the pads longer than 2 weeks. you just change it out when you feel like its not staying wet like you want it too. just a way for them to make money
I love mine. Unfortunately my insurance (private) didn’t cover it either. They said it’s “experimental” which is ridiculous. l even had an MS specialist at NMSU write my appeal and they still denied it. But I was able to get an interest free loan so I could still get it. Good luck!
have not but they look like it would be great to help with walking ....good luck ...
