When the COVID 19 pandemic (

Epidemic ) I quit taking me medication

As of March 2020

I feel much better No insomnia, no Brian fog

Not sitting around like a zombie I can actually have a good brain function clear headed

I actually feel normal in my head and except for my symptoms that I have a tremors and I can’t walk very well without a walker I don’t know I don’t seem to have any MS symptoms kind of odd isn’t it I was taking copaxone

Less MRI had in 2018 they said all my lesions were gone

What did they attribute the disappearance of your lesions to?

Glad you feel your feeling better. Even though still try to keep all of your appointments and current with your health care.

I am, still seeing neurologist every six months and regular doctor appointments and pain specialist. I still have all the effects from before and they are slowly getting worse as always, but no worse than before. Probably diet changes helped a lot and still think DMT’s helped tremendously 😊. Nothing has really changed other than off meds, still doing all the others. I do have a two month supply of DMT if I have to go back and wait for new approval 👍 Ken ☺️🐾🐾🐾🐾

Incredible that all the lesions are gone! Are they gone from the spine and the brain?

I quit my ms drugs in February this year and moved back to Pocatello Idaho. My neurologist in Meridian had mentioned it a couple years ago as I have been on them over 25 years and over 65. So I finally decided to do it. My new neurologist here wanted an updated mri so we did brain, neck, and back. Results were astonishing 😳 The ones in my back and neck have disappeared and brain went from 17 to 9. Go figure 🤷‍♀️. Neither neurologist has ever seen this happen in 28 years that both have specialized in ms. So who knows the reason? Thank the Lord 🙏👍🤞😊 Ken 🐾🐾

Seems both of you are attributing the disappearance of lesions to stopping MS drugs.

I think some of it has to do with diet change ? Also I often wonder if radiation and chemotherapy did anything? Lots to think about ? I do believe the DMT’s did help for a long time but I have been stable now for quite a while also? Ken 🐾🐾🙏

I actually had cancer ♋️ twice and last time little over 4 years ago was stage four throat cancer ♋️. It involved surgery, radiation and chemotherapy. Wasn’t for MS. Ken 🐾🐾🐾🐾

Glad you are doing better. It must have been a really hard journey. I bet it put MS on the backburner.

Was wondering how did they find the throat cancer? Were you having symptoms and that led you to seek care? What were you feeling?

Everyone at work had cough and little flu. Thought I was doing good taking extra vitamins and only had sore throat no cough. After a few weeks on a Friday morning I decided to go get checked out. Called an nose and throat specialist and they had a cancellation at 10am. It was 9:45 and I said I will be right there. Filled out paperwork and Dr Magee came in asked what was going on, looked in my throat and said just a minute and left. Couple minutes later he came in and said you have throat cancer and schedule for surgery Monday morning at 7 o’clock. Took small sample called me back that night said stage three cancer ♋️! Went in Monday morning early at 6 and prepped for surgery at 7. Did surgery and went home later that day and he said he would call me. Had me stay home no work till he talked to me. Called Friday said it had gone to stage four and had scheduled me for cancer ♋️ center. Ken 🐾🐾

Oh my gosh! Good thing you got checked when you did. That was alot to go through. How is your throat? Are you able to eat without difficulty? So there was no tumor?

Kenu profile image
Kenu in reply toHumbrd

I have had a feeding tube since radiation and chemotherapy. Yes they removed tumor and part of my pallet. Lost saliva glands and taste 👅 buds. I have been able after 4 years to eat a few things but not enough so still have feeding tube for nutrition daily morning and night. Have some taste back but probably 60 percent. Drink lots of fluids to keep mouth moist, especially at night every two hours. Kinda messed up sleep. But I am happy living on borrowed time 🤣 my brother says I am on my second nine lives😁🤣. Very thankful, was given 2 months without treatment and 4-6 with and almost 5 years and I’m still here🙏

You know I go to Upper cervical chiropractor

He use this device Don’t know the name but anyway they believe it heals MS because they put it on your neck and click it and makes a little spring noise but you don’t feel it doesn’t hurt nothing like that you feel better you walk straight and adjust the atlas on your spine anyway I’ve been seeing this chiropractor like this since 2007 so maybe overtime at work check it out upper cervical chiropractor

Thanks for letting us know. Glad to hear a NUCCA chiropractor helps you. I used to go to one here and dragged my husband to do his procedures. The chiropractor is a real charlatan. It cost a lot of money and was absolutely useless. I would never recommend a NUCCA chiropractor to anyone again.

To bad

Tracelr profile image
Tracelr in reply toIFwczs

My chiropractor Ben Olson in Missoula Montana only charges $48 a visit which isn’t that bad and I had to see him about three times a month not a lot of money for going to help

No I quit my medication Because of COVID 19 I’ve been in my home for a year in March 2021

The lesions went away in 2017

That is my personal decision

Injections everyday hurt and you look at your pin cushion in arms in the belly and the thighs I’m just not gonna do it to myself anymore

Kenu profile image
Kenu in reply toTracelr

Truly understand, I made same decision after several talks with neurologist. 👍😉😊
