Cardiologist Appointment

Got a call yesterday from the cardiologist's office to remind me of my appointment and to say rather than a face to face with a doc I've never met and who is taking over from my AWOL cardiologist, it needs to be a "virtual" visit.

Yea. A computer visit. I get to hang out in a "virtual" waiting room (why do we still have to be in ANY waiting room if we're not actually physically going to doctors' offices?)

But at least if anyone else is in that "virtual" waiting room and they are sick . . . .

My virus protection program will automatically launch! ;)

I like virtual visits because most of my doctors are 2 hours away.

At least you don’t have to stand out in the heat or wait for transportation. Let us know how your meet goes . Don’t forget to write down all the questions you want to ask. Blessings Jimeka 🤗

The ironic thing about the facility with the cardiologists is: this facility actually has tables and benches under umbrellas where patients have to wait for transport. What the video appointment did save me from was transport dumping me off somewhere other than the medical facility. like they did the last appointment I had a few weeks ago. This visit, it seemed to me, to be more of a "Why bother?" visit. The doctor was 40 minutes late. I only saw the top of his head, and I'd recommend he start shaving and polishing it rather than the 4 or 5 whisps waving around, Mr. Johnathon T. Fuzzibutt introduced himself, and stuck his fuzzibutt in my face while watching the computer screen. Maybe he was chasing the hair whisps?

I only had one questionen, got to askit, but got no response--I wanted to know what happened to my previous cardiologist. He had very little to say as well other than to say "Make an appointment for June, maybe.

And that was it.

I saw the PA that works with my neurosurgeon recently. The gal that checked me into the exam room apologized for writing down a few answers to questions. She said her computer was broken. I replied, "So we might actually have eye contact?" I didn't mean to be snotty and had to apologize for my remark, but that's the way things are going now. There are some benefits to the virtual visits, too, I guess, but it does create some issues.
