This quilt took about 7 years in the making. The flowery & beige squares were actually the front and back of pillow covers that I ordered but were too small & I didn't want to return them thinking I would make a quilt out of them one day. There weren't enough of them to put on the pillow shams so I made cathedral window blocks for the quilt and the shams to tie it all together. These were actually QAYG blocks and borders. I don't think I will ever do that again on a big quilt. I don't think I'm going to tackle a large quilt again. It wasn't fun for me. I will stick with half that size from now on. Till I want a new one that is. Ha!

Wow, that is GORGEOUS, hairbrain4 You made it from pillow covers that were too small? I am impressed!
I am speechless. Wow, that is so incredibly beautiful, and it’s purple, perfect in every way. What a gift you have been given. Blessings Jimeka 👏👏👏👏

My first impression when I saw the photo of the quilt was that it was one of the largest handmade quilts I had even seen and I wondered how a person could manage to make it. It is really lovely.
