Well where to start my first post. I've had MS for 8 years and it made me have to retire five years ago which still makes me hurt and mad. I live alone and not allowed to drive "another mad" so Lyft is a blessing for me. So question do others have numbness in your hands 24/7 and if so any tips?

I have numbness in right hand and leg, left side good. Have had MS twenty seven years and still driving π Been five years since I had to quit work , I am sure I would still be working if not for MS and cancer βοΈ. I see you have a 4-wheeler behind you is that yours and still able to ride it? Good to see you here and look forward to getting to know you ππ Ken πΎ πΎ
No on the 4 wheeler sad...sad..sad but i now have a golf cart which i use to roll over to the golf course for a quick meal but it's now not rolling trying to find a mechanic to work on it. I hear you on the cancer because we just can't fight one hope your doing alright. I'm a proud father of 3 stint's in my heart because we just can't fight one
cool the area firstly then see what happens
Hi Chitbo and welcome. Do you get numbness in both hands? I have it in my right hand and I am right handed, so I have had to learn to write and do other things left handed. Exercise them and try and keep the circulation going to them. Your brain has the ability to make new pathways sometimes and we can re train our brain. Let us know how you get on, and join in any time, Blessings Jimeka π
Congrads on your 1st post hope to hear from you more.
As for numbness my right was numb and weak for awhile after I had my relapse but once I started having OT I started to get strength back back in my hand and and the numbness went away.
Welcome, Chitbo!
Newbie!!! Welcome. Okay I worked for too many years post diagnosis. Life will be different. Welcome
What did you do up till this? Always looking for tips on.....
Welcome!
I so agree with rjoneslaw in suggesting asking for occupational therapy to evaluate you and see what aids may help you.

Welcome to the cite! I have numbness in my hands, arms, feet and left thigh. It's worse when I'm sleeping and after I get up until I wake my body up and when walking. It's horrible lying down. I toss and turn as one side goes numb and then the other. Since I just got up a short time ago my hand doesn't work well typing. Cold is bad for my hands and feet. Sometimes after being in water like in the pool I have alot of pain in hands and feet. After I come back and get in the shower it's like hundreds of needles jabbing in them. And then washing my hands the same thing. Excruciating pain which feels like hundreds of needles just jabbing in me. It lasts for that day.
Welcome Chitbo , to this forum! Numbness in all my extremities, 24/7 was one of my first symptoms. To alleviate it, I am always doing stretches, and massages but the tingling never goes away. I am always careful with moving/carrying anything as it requires a conscious effort to not drop anything or fall. I do some exercises at home. There are many free videos specifically tailored to 'ms' on Youtube. One that comes to my mind is called The MS Gym with Trevor Wicken. Keep Smiling, and again, welcome!
Welcome! My numbness is in my feet. I can feel my hands but they are very clumsy.
See a neurosurgeon about your hands it might be carpal tunnel
P.s. welcome to the group
Welcome to the group. Yes, the right hand and the left leg. OT and PT didn't help me, but a massage chair that massages your extremities in addition to the back does.
