Hello everyone.

I'm Ryan.

I have been fighting MS all mylife.

I'm 37 and just moved to Mohave Valley AZ. I was diagnosed with secondary progressiveMS about 3 to 4 years ago. It has affected my speech and my learning all my life.

At the age of 16 my eyes went double vision on me. And dr put me in the hospital.

They didn't know what was wrong with me. They said if I did have ms I wouldn't know tell about 7 years down road.

When I was 23 my hands, feet, problems urinating and achieving a full erection happened all at once.

Then at the age of 33 I was working at a casino, graveyard shift. My knees went numb on me. I still worked for another 10 months then I fall to the floor after work.

My dr told me I couldn't work anymore and to go one disability.

Took me 8 months with a lawyer to get it.

Life has been very hard for me. Trying to make ends meet. I have no family or friends. They all ran away and never been married nor do I have any kids.

I have one friend as my roommate. The friend that I thought I had where I just moved too. Isn't a friend.

It's to hot and I am so unhappy. That's what is going on with me, well part of it.

Wishing you all the best.

Well Ryan I can just imagine what you are going through living in AZ. I live in MD and this heat is a killer. Stay positive and things will work out for you both professionally and personally. True friendship is with love and unconditional. Stay strong...

Sorry Royjr, something was wrong and I could not get back onto this site. I am now moving back to California. Next month. I thought 131° here in Arizona. And you're truly right about true friendship and trying to stay strong. Thank you for taking the time to write me and I look forward to talking to you in the future

Hi Ryan, I hate to hear that you are so alone and without support. Have you looked into a local support group? I was very apprehensive about joining a group but my fears were quickly abated after my first meeting. It wasn't a moan and groan session, just the opposite. Sure we share MS stories but we also discuss everyday events. I've made new friends and hope that you'll be open to exploring opportunities in your area.

Hi Sianoam, thank you. I know right. Me too. The one person aka my roommate that I thought would always be here for me is fighting with me and doesn't like me right now cause my so called friend that got us to move out here to Arizona lied to us and didn't follow through what he told that he was going to do to help us and because of him we lost everything of ours and now we are dealing without food to no power to stay cool and my roommate is getting a hold of her ex boyfriend to borrow money so we can eat with that being said she is blaming everything on me so now I feel more sick with the stress and lack of food.

When I return to California I am going to find a support group so I can meet new people and new friends. Thank you for the time to reach out and talk to me. I look forward to talking to you and your future and getting to know you.

Hey Ryan...I can't imagine 131°. I would probably literally die. It was only 108° here in TX and I barely made it from the door to the car each day. I'm sorry to read about so-called friends. Life can be lonely, but something to be said for inner peace (I'll let you know when I find it..LoL). MS sucks, we just learn to find joy in any piece of life we can. Good luck with your move. You may be by yourself, but your certainly not alone.

Hey there Lauranell2u yeah 131 omg was hell. And my air went out in my truck too 😟 another thing my so called friend was going to help me fix let alone help me get all my stuff out of California before I lost it. Well that didn't happen. And he keeps his boat and jet ski at my house now.

Great friend right lol.

Thank you very much. It should go well. Starting over again. I appreciate it when you said I'm not alone. That means a lot to me. Have a great evening.

Hi Ryan

I can't imagine living in AZ the summer heat kills me in Ohio. It his 90 degrees here this past week and it about killed me. CA doesn't seem like a big improvement on AZ :) Move north! Sorry to hear about the problems with your roomie...MS is a lonely disease. Especially with speech problems...I know personally what that feels like because this disease has twice taken away my speech in the 6 yrs I've has it. Hang in there it's all you can do until a cure is eventually found.

Not what you're looking for?
