So how many of you have the "MS Flu?"

I sit here again tonight on the couch with a miserable headache & tiredness... but not the sore throat. This happens often. For years. Always when I overdo things or stress. I am in tears because this has been many days lately. It is FL and I try to stay out of the heat. But I can't even clean my house w/o this feeling at night. Really stinks...

That's the first time I heard it called 'MSflu' but that's about right & yah it stinks! I try to do some house work & it seems like I do more resting in the summer than I do in the winter. even with central air. Good luck I have been doing this for over 26 years now hope you get to feeling better soon. Mary

Hi Jodi, I am sorry that the ms is making you feel so rotten, I know that when we feel good we have a tendency to over do things and we pay for it. Living in Florida with all that heat is bound to make you lethargic. Have you tried a cooling vest, or neck wrap? It’s great to have a clean house but not at the expense of you feeling like you do. Maybe you should get checked out by your doctor, you could have picked up a virus. Hope you feel much better soon, Blessings Jimeka 🤗

That's a great name for what you're feeling, and most of us can relate. I hope you feel better quickly.

I've been on Abaugio for 5 years now. Only med I've ever taken. I've just been cleared to brain MRI every 2 years! My meds are working! I realize these meds do wonderful but scary things, like uber curley hair now! But I'm so reluctant to think about change. Alwaysvthings to think about as we gros with this disease. Thank your for your thoughts and insight!

I was diagnosed 5 years ago. My mom has MS too. Diagnosed just a few years befofe me. Both told diagnosed late in life but probably had for a while. My mom would get so tired and have all the symptoms of a cold or flu. She visited us for long periods of time. I would send her to her room to rest and get the vitamin c and cold meds out! Hour or 2 later, fine! In time we figured out what was happening. She need to calm down and recharge. I have many similar symptoms of my mothers. That is why we call this the MS Flu. All the symptoms. Only cure, rest.

So hard to do bc you think you're fine. And you are. Until ZAPP. You're not. I manage well most of the time, but sometimes life does just get in the way!

I hope that you are feeling better today, jodigirl750 I am in the same boat, I can no longer keep the house as tidy as I would like it to be. When I overdo it, I can sit on the couch for longer than I want to. Sunbathing is out of the question! I have always been told that Casper has more color than me! Keep Smiling :-D

Thank you for sharing. Better, but yesterday I did a 40 minute chair exercise routine, showered, then hubby tells me client (friend from church) is coming over in an hour to review some things. Friends, but have never been to our home. No biggie for normal people, but I click into high anxiety. Just stuff laying around. Hubby helped clean our main kitchen /living room. Easy stuff right? Within 30 minutes I had to lay down and was asleep for 2 hours! Never even heard our guests come over. I never returned to 100% functioning the entire day. I really hate this... but nothing I can do but wait for tomorrow...

Sorry so long. Anyone else have issues with anxiety like this? How do you deal? I have wine or cocktails to ease. Not in the middle of the day, haha! But sure helps at dinner!

Anxiety always gets to me, jodigirl750 and like you, nothing can make it go away, just time, I suppose, and perhaps some libations... :-D

I also experience this. I experienced it long before the medication. I get run down so easily. I'm sorry you are also dealing with this.
