I never pass up an opportunity to use the bathroom, avoid drinking anything right before going somewhere, and have protective liners if I have to be out for long. Fortunately, my issues come and go. But then, I never know when they'll decide to flare up.
When I know I'm going out I stop drinking fluids to cut down on the need to go. I also wear depends with a pad. I also take myrbetriq and I catheter 2x's a day.
I asked my doctor to prescribe the closed catheter (the kit) which I like because everything is enclosed and there is a bag so I don't have to use or touch a toilet
I know the feeling. I always know where the bathrooms are and how long till I get there. Like others said I watch what I drink according to what and where I will be. Have extra undies and pants in the car just in case ex specially with travel 🧳. Haven’t tried any meds? 👍🙏 Ken 🐾🐾
i know right?I know every restroom in a 100 mile radius! If i am leaving the house, don't drink coffee, soda, juice.and going from hot outside and air conditioner inside and reverse,so here is the deal walmart, when I enter ,get out of my way going straight to restroom!or someone's home
After my RP my watertight integrity vanished. I live on a well fertilized wooded 10 acres. Now I have many calling cards left by the local coyotes. It seems we are in a territorial competition.
Well, I merrily traipse about where I will in the daytime and the yelping bad boys lurk about at night so guess it is a timeshare arrangement of sorts.
For men there are 2 helpful medications. Flowmax is really good but causes fatigue. Rapaflow is the other. Doesn't work as well but has less side effects.
When I am out and about and I am not sure of where the bathrooms are, I wear adult protective underwear (APU). It helps and has saved me on a number of occasions. When I forget to wear my APU's, I have regretted that.
Tried the meds, caused more problems. Learned to manage by keen sense of next bathroom or deserted trees. Did the depends thing, the catheter thing....BUT, now that bathrooms that should be there as part of the survival plan, ARE CLOSED due to Covid-19, so it's a whole new ball game. Learning all over again!
