Okay, we are in Southern NC, we have a new bird visitor that looks almost like a cardinal, but it is ORANGE and has a light colored long beak. We have been searching to find out what flavor it is, does anyone have an idea. Note, they are not nearly as paranoid as Cardinals.

Cardinals can be orange. They range from yellow, orange, and variations of red for the males. Females are brown.
It may be a summer tanager. If so it is a great bird find for a bird watcher.
CONGRATULATIONS! You nailed it, it is an at least 2 year old male Summer Tanager with full plumage. Since it shows up every other day or so at the feeder, we have set up the camera to catch an image of this beauty. Compared to most other birds, he seems mild and sings back at a whistle. My wife was able to walk within 6 feet from it before he flew off.
Thank you for finding the answer to my cryptic message! Once we have a picture I'll put it out here for all to enjoy.
You are very welcome. I'm glad you are enjoying him. I hope you get some nice photos of the little guy.
