Graduation

I’m sold! The drive thru graduation was so much more fun than a traditional one. And the virtual commencement speeches were perfect! Each speech was directed to this years’ students. Nothing generic. The principal shared a fantastic parable that is perfect for this year. And, it’s all on YouTube, so we can see it again! (Only 39 minutes!!)

And I’m super glad as an MS patient I didn’t have to deal with long times sitting, having to get up for the bathroom, and the screaming at the end that normally goes on for an hour as names are read. And I didn’t have to reteach my legs how to walk after while trying to manage hundreds of stairs in a college auditorium! Even the weather was perfect today! Sunny but only about 58 degrees!

I say, out with the old! Bring on the new!! This was a blast!

He’s amazing, not only academically (4.0 GPA and full scholarship) but mostly he’s an amazing kid. He does lawns for the elderly in our neighborhood (he’s the only one they trust), does all our laundry, unloads the dishwasher because he’s bored, cleans one of the bathrooms, and drives when I’m too tired. He knows when I need a nap.

Honestly, having him move out is going to be really hard!!

Everyone I talked to loves the change. I really struggle with loud noises, especially inside. So I was dreading the screaming of graduation. This was perfect!

Who knew changes could be accommodating for the disabled by accident?
