My Initial PCP Visit had a bump

It was a great appointment, especially since it almost didn’t happen 😢 I rear ended a nice gentleman as I was leaving PT Friday afternoon last week. It hit me that my taking chances doesn’t just put my life in danger. I parked my smashed car in our back driveway & hung up my keys. I used the weekend to see if I could find a way to get to my appointment. On Sunday afternoon I was telling a young lady about what happened & what I was going through & she offered me a ride! It was so nice!

When we finally found it (it was right next door to where I thought it was) I filled out the paperwork & all was great! The nurse was sweat & I am thankful that my new PCP isn’t stuck on her credentials that she can’t be a people person. - I’m a hugger. I like to show my appreciation with hugs not handshakes. Thankfully she didn’t only acquiesce, she hugged back!

I have two doctors now that listen AND are people!

I’m sorry about the car, but you show great courage and sense to give up the keys yourself.

I’m so happy for the relationship you are developing with you new PCP! Hurrah!

Is it something that just happened or just poor driving skills? You might need to evacuate what happened and maybe it was just an accident 🤷🏼‍♂️. Hope you’re vehicle is repairable so that if you quit driving you can sale it and use the money for Uber 👍🙏😉 Ken 🐾🐾

Actually I’ve been fighting with loss of feeling in my feet & right leg for awhile & it caught up with me. I was trying to find the brake frantically but to no avail. All the way home I had one foot on the gas & the other on the brake.

Hubby wants to repair & sell but I’m thinking who wants to but a 19 year old car that has spent its life in the Northeast? Thanks for that idea though! I couldn’t think of any benefit of selling it & after downloading the Uber app just to get to Starbucks $8 more than the beverage!

A fender bender is always a shake up in many different ways. You should be pleased about the decisions you are able to make and the problems you can solve to work around obstacles. Well done!

No one must have been hurt, which is good. So I'm glad it was "just" a bump!

No one was hurt so I was thankful for that. Also happy that I hit a gentleman. He’s been a peach. He took it home to try to fix it himself.

I'm glad you found Drs. who listen.

I'm glad that nobody was hurt in the accident and that the gentleman that you hit is going to try and fix his vehicle himself. I'm glad that you like your new doctor, it seems good ones are hard to find nowadays. Hugs my friend.
