Have to scrounge up some more 'flowers' Happy 420!
Oh my, Christopher Robbins, I'm all out ... - My MSAA Community
Oh my, Christopher Robbins, I'm all out of honey...
Allen, I wished my son a happy 4/20 day. He said I had to be the coolest mom he could imagine! The things I do for my kids! Love you, Kelly xx
Well, maybe so but for me it is medicine and, I try and treat it as such. Let the food be the medicine and they medicine be thy food. Of course hippocrates did not mean brownies necessarily. However it allows me to medicate with knowing exactly how much medication I am ingesting. I have a dosage calculator on my phone to know exactly how much I am to put in the recipie to make them come out correctly. Different strains have different potency. With the medical bow legalized, I know how potent each strain is via testing. It makes it so much better because I found out a few years back how much fun it isn't to over do it. On the bright side it didnt require any medical attention just needed to sleep for a bit and it passed.

Look, someone saved you the corner! How thoughtful, Allen5280
That was quite thoughtful of me wasnt it! LoL considering I ate them ALL... saved the best for last! ππ€£ππ€£ππ€£π§‘π
So, you neatly polished them off? You certainly presented them as if it was from a bakery! I bet that they were delicious, Allen5280
I got the labels for my containers so that my care givers do not mistakenly eat one. Than and I have to much time on my hands. So I've decorated alot of things with such as my toolbox that keeps my supplies and my harmonica case has different dispensary stickers on it too. Sometimes even when on not feeling all that well I have to try and do something. That something keeps me sane. π
Cool, just don't eat your harmonica, Allen5280 because there will be no sneaking up on someone for you! I have similar habits as well. I color code my closets, and I have stickers in my sewing room that say 'I LOVE FABRIC'... I have yet to find anything that keeps me sane for long!
Well, my sanity is in great question, if I were to admit that I was not, here would come the big guys in white coats to put me into a padded room. Fitted with a special jacket, that I could only get out of if I were kin to Houdini!
Oh and I forgot to mention they were extra fudgy, cannabis infused coconut oil brownies. I infused coconut oil this last batch but my gummies didnt turn out. For the record, induction hot plate does not work well with candy making. I've got to get more propane for my gas range.
Good to know, Allen5280 I don't think that I would enjoy putting coconut oil in my brownies but who knows, I have never tried. You make your own gummies? And you cook with an induction hot plate? Hmmm, something that I have never really tried. I have a natural gas stove and I love it. I used to have an electric stove but I prefer this natural gas.
I'm no fan of coconut so I put a pinch or a bit more of salt in the oil to tame coconut taste. Coconut oil infuses very easily and is healthy. Best bang for the buck because the cannabis is expensive. However, I found a for using my tincture so I plan to switch to that once the last of my oil is gone today. I put about half coconut oil and veggie oil too. I just needed 50ml of the coconut oil to make my brownies come out at 15mg of cannabis per brownie. I'm making a 8x8 pan today with them being 20mg but only 9 brownies. I cut them in thirds or 4ths or halves depending on my need for that time. It can take a long time for them to take effect so smoking a bit here and there I need as well.
I would have so little control with brownies and I am afraid that I would eat the whole pan in one sitting, so, cutting into neat little squares would certainly be a waste (waist) of time for me! I don't think that the coconut oil would deter me
LOL I did that with the first batch I made. I didnt think they were working and ended up eating half of them. A few hours later and it was enough to deter me from ever doing it again. 1 never make brownies without alternative sweet snacks in the house and 2. It to expensive to eat that many. This last pan of 20 lasted me a week. I cut them into 3rds for 5mg incraments but I eat a whole one 2x a day... except yesterday I ate 3.... not all at once! That wouldnt be fun at all.
There were a few other days more than 2.. but I try and jeep myself from doing so. The labels I put on them help to remind me to NOT LOOk at them.... they were the best ones I had so far.
Oh as for the induction plate... it killed my gummies. It heats up way to fast and theres no way to slow it unless I would increas the heat incramentally but it still is to rapad. I can boil water on my hor plate 2x as fast as even in the microwave.
Wow, that's fast...
I going to make sour patch gummies next time. Once I get my propane refiled so I can use the range. I have silicon molds for them. O can make mine at half the cost of the least expensive ones in the dispensary. And my brownies are about 1/4 the cost. That and they are designed for me, my cannabinoid and my symptoms. I use the strains that work best for me and not to just get stoned. So that makes my medication more effective and costs me less on that aspect as well. As long as I have the capability I will make my own.
You sound so resourceful about all this, Allen5280 I don't need it yet but who knows... So far, my pain has been manageable with the meds that I have but you never know what might be in store for me. I know that there are many strains for this and that, and so much to help with this and that. I have had problems with my upper and lower back but nothing to really complain about. Stay Safe and Keep Smiling, always, my friend
It amazing what we can come up with out of necessity. As a former pilot I had to stay up to date and educated on matters involving aviation. As an instructor, as I was taught, I emphasized that as a pilot, if your not doing something, your doing something wrong. I didnt necessarily like the low percentages of effectiveness of MS medications. So I try to combat it on every possible level. I can not do that without learning for myself what others (doctors) may have dismissed or not been taught during their education. That and in our day and age... the medical community just wants to " throw a pill at it and move on*. Pills are not the answer in many cases. Changing our behavior is almost always a factor. There are medications that are necessary at times but not the only thing that needs to be done to be at our nest health. I read that the healthiest people treat their illnesses with natural and conventional medication combined. Change in diets etc.. so I hit the internet library of resources to find out wha ti could. I know someone that had been treating their MS symptoms with cannabis for 30+ years. Why are those not being brought to light. Why jas my neuro/specialist, whom at one tome I held in high regard omitted the cannabis help from records? When I told him about my decision he said good. I have a witness to attest to that. As far as making record of it... well .... in seriously ready to change doctors I just dont know if I can go through the process right now. I guess tomorrows appointment will have alot of issues that need resolved that I plan to address. Be proactive in you own health if you want the best results. I live by that and have for some time.
Dibs on the last brownie!!!
That particular brownie disappeared right after the photo! I'm making another pan today, so there will be more!
