I just bought mine today N95 by 3M. There wasn't a lot left in my small town. I rather be on the cautious side of things. Hope everyone find some. Thanks!

Good job being prepared. I go see the doctor tomorrow, I plan on putting some in my pocket from the waiting room.

LOL 😆. Just kidding.

I hate to say it but the basic face filter isn't anything more than a warm fuzzy. The diameter of the virus is smaller than the pores in the filter. Do they hurt? No. Do they work? Not really as the masks are for dust but there is a small chance it will help.

My mom flew to visit me (totally in the US) and I had to ask her if she had a layover in China.

Doc always asks if I've been out of the country or near someone that was. My response is no, not eve California! :)

Face masks are not very effective in fighting off viruses because the virus is smaller than the holes in the masks. The most effective way of fight off viruses is" wash your hands, wash your hands, wash your hands before you touch your face or anything that you are going to eat, drink or put on your face. I even wash my hands at a restaraunt after ordering because other people have touched the menu. When you go into a store everyone wipes down the buggy/cart handle which is good but you need to wipe your hands again as you leave the store as others have touched the cans, boxes, bags etc. Avoid crowds as much as possible. Keep your distance from anyone with sniffles or coughs. If you have kids in school teach them the same thing. Use a spray disinfectant regularly, especially in common areas that everyone uses. I have been doing this faithfully and I haven't gotten sick in over 3 years and have never had the flu or pneumonia shots. The worse thing I have gotten is dry hands from washing them so much.

Living in Canada the Government Health Department has issued a warning to all Dr. Offices. Do not have patients wait in the waiting room....have them wait in their cars and text or phone them when it is their turn. The advice is to avoid large gatherings and crowds, wash hands diligently or use the alcohol based hand sanitise. Cough into your elbow and do not shake hands or greet people with any contact.... I watched a BBC report that masks can actually add to the problem because small droplets can accumulate on the exterior of the mask and you can infect yourself when taking it off.

Thanks "spunky" for the info....I am only 40 miles from the Canadian border.

I told my cop friend yesterday, don't pull anyone over with out of state plates.

Lol.
