I recently started marching in place for a long time. It feels comfortable

for my body. Has anyone else tried it?

Well yes sorta indirectly. My wife started marching years ago. She’s very functional w/her fibromyalgia. She’s had it for over 20 yrs and has done well due to marching and walking at least 4 days a week.

As for me w/my ppms... I started marching a little over a week ago and I’m still very sore. However, I d feel more sure footed as a result.

Bottom line...keep doing what you’re doing & I will too!

200 times every day after a short walk outside. I read on the computer it's good for your heart. I recently started doing that.

As Iona60 says, it is a great idea! I'm going to try it because so much of the time, I can't be outside and it will be doable in my kitchen.

I will need to throw grapes on the floor or else I'll whine about it.

I will try this to test my balance. I have a feeling I'll be looking closely at the ground. :D

So you'll be exercising and making wine!

When I land on the floor, I can check the results of my efforts!

they have exercise video on doing this. My mother has a video from the 80's that I would do. I think it was a better workout than what they have out now. I would still do it if I could lift my right leg

Yes, an online MS PT recommends the high knee stepping either from seated or standing to improve walking (see youtube Dr Gretchen Hawkeye).

I think it’s helping my weaker right leg...but I just began this.

Thanks Erash.

I will check it out.

I started walking "laps" in my house... it's only 120 steps but I do it randomly through out the day. I have ms and like walking where I can sit down or hold onto a piece of furniture if I need to. My goal is always to walk without touching anything and I often have to stop to steady myself which is great to work on my balance and core. I feel empowered!

That sounds fantastic! Think of the people who wish they could do that.

Keep up the good work.

I started PT recently b/c I have a lot of trouble lifting my right leg. I now march to the bathroom when I’m at home 😂

while you are marching add....singing....I put youtube on and my cardiologist was surprised even though my vessels are super bad the heart has perked up and my lungs expand better.Stability at any age is a plus...it helped me to have a chair close to hold onto just in case....now marching added I may feel better TY!
