Does your place setting look like the place setting in the photo for fancy occasions? Do you allow cell phones during meals?
Cell phone is the new newspaper in my family. We start conversations off with topics that someone read on their cell phone. The funniest is when we have conversations, and someone wants to pull out their cell phone to verify or delve more into a comment. No one wants to wait until we all have eaten. What topics do you discuss?

I like it, but in my establishment, your phone will not work due to the electronic jamming. And if you get a fancy phone upgraded to get past the jamming, your phone will also fit the slot in the table just big enough for phones, drops into an auto phone shredder basket, where you can get it at the end of the meal.
Oh, AND your salad plate is way too small. A dinner sized plate will suffice, but you can go bigger many ways if the salad calls for it. (Dinner plate's are good for every night salads.) And where do the tiny (tasting size) spoons and forks go? I serve a lot of things on tasting size plates, bowls, ..
One time many years ago now, my husband's family had this big dinner at a restaurant. I forget what the occasion was, my husband's cousin's phone kept going off and she would have loud conversations with whoever called. She was making it quite clear that she would rather be with her friends than with us. She was sitting next to me and after about the 5th call I had all I could take of it. The next person to call, I grabbed the phone from her, told the person that we were trying to enjoy a family dinner at a nice restaurant and that she would call back later when we were done. I then turned the phone off and put it in my pocket. The entire restaurant applauded. My husband's cousin was very embarrassed as she hadn't realized that not only was she ticking off the family, but everyone else as well. She was in her mid 20's at the time and really should have known better.
No phones at the table, unless you are the only one there.
