“YOU” are like me, and I was once long ago where “YOU” are today. Be That a newly diagnosed (Newbie) or annoyed old-timer. (20+years) This is an end for “YOU” but it can always be a glorious beginning as well. Neither “YOU” or I can go back to what we once were. Many of those dreams we once had are gone, like my hair. Try as we might we can never get them back. This illness has no cure, no easy solutions. There are most certainly are many Disease-Modifying Therapies(DMT) and spot treatments for particular ailments, but “YOU” can not make ms go away. NOBODY can. A cure does not exist, but DMT does.
With this said “YOU” have to look at the range of DMT available to “YOU”. I suggest in my non medical opinion that “YOU” take the strongest medicine that “YOU” can get. I understand that “YOU” do not like being a pin cushion, but I did it for years , so can “YOU”. Twice a year infusion is not so bad I used to do it every other day, and I am terrified of needles. So my dear ms sibling it can be done as I bet “YOU” are much less of a scaredy cat than me.
Have “YOU” noticed the conversations happening here about vitamins and supplements. How there are many different opinions and thoughts on the matter. We all have ms but we all are different. This is GOOD very good. A wide range of thought. Always something for “YOU” to think about. If “YOU” face difficulties or confusion, how about “YOU” write down your thoughts on a piece of paper. Read what others say then weigh that against your thought. That way “YOU might be a little less confused and overwhelmed.
This is a big disease that never ends. There are so many confusing terms and no definitive answers. No matter haw many Doctors “YOU” see, no matter how many miracle cures “YOU” come across. During my time I have always asked myself, why have I not heard of this before, why are they not Jeff Bezos rich, why is this not everywhere and where is the proof. Anecdotal statements are not good enough. Show me before and after MRI. Obviously nobody has done this as I am not cured. Perhaps “YOU” might ask this, its might help “YOU” through your very long ms life journey.
listen to others opinions. Make your own judgements. Your life is yours and “YOU” must live it from beginning to end. The choices and decision that “YOU” make in between are yours and yours alone. We are all the sum of our experiences and our interpretation of them. With mine I have learned to be flexible and accepting. I might suggest this takes time but I enjoy it. I do not have full understanding of everything I am wold but what I do understand, I accept. I do not fight it, I am not a warrior. Those days are long gone. No I am more of a manager, somedays I get it right some days not so much.
