Sending a big, warm cyber-hug to (((Luv5basenjis))). Sorry, but I understand your frustrations. MS: the tattoo that's always with you!
May I suggest consulting with your neuro or PCP for tips. Also, MSAA and NMSS have wonderful resources to point you towards a starting point.
Could you get a physical therapy referral? A good PT can do wonders if you are willing to try.
This is exactly what I was thinking. Baby steps can lead to bigger steps with the right guidance.
There is a quote I like about motivation that goes something like:
Motivation doesn't last, neither does bathing that's why I reccomend it daily
If only I knew how to make it happen. It does acknowledge how it isn't easy to stay motivated.
I don't know if they would help but there are new DMTs for secondary progressive MS I understand.
You become motivated one step at a time. ! It's that simple and yet that difficult. Get back into PT. And have them work on you slowly, but surely. In a matter of weeks, I foresee you taking your first step without power scooter. How bad do you want it? That is what you need to decide. That is the Question, you must ask yourself. . Anything is possible if you want it bad enough. So get up, get going, and get back into physical therapy. . I'm sending Good Vibes and good thought and good prayers your way. . Take care until we talk again. And I hope to hear a status report of how well you're doing and how your strength is coming back. Remember that together we are stronger. Fancy.
Thanks fancy!
