Well we come upon #12 of MS Facts! For this yr! We will start again next for sure!

Speech Problems!

Yes I can relate! I can take long pauses... Sound choppy, or just get confused!

I get frustrated if you put words in my mouth! Which will frustrate me more! It's a vicious cycle!😭🀣😭

What about you? Can you relate? Do you put milk in the? ?? Dishwasher? I will figure out what that word is! πŸ˜’

well i guess i have to add myself to this club for i do have this problem lots of times and can get very embarrassing ...but like everything else we just laugh and do more laughing if it takes longer to get the words out to explain what happened but ha that is life right....love and happiness makes it so much better to deal with all of it ...have a great day ...

Oh it can be very embarrassing sometimes. Under pressure? I'm there! Sentences come out backwards! Tired? Backwards! Angry? Don't get me started! I call it dyslexic of my whole brain! πŸ™ƒπŸ˜πŸ€£

I love how you can laugh it off! 🀣

Way back when I was first diagnosed, I used to mix up the first letter of words in a sentence. I cant wake- I want cake. My doctor said it wasn't MS. Now I switch words: I cake want. I think BOTH are MS related.

Are you dyslexic Hidden ? And maybe noticing it more now? Although with the brain who knows! I'm dyslexic, and read sentences backwards! But I'm a freak of nature! πŸ€£πŸ˜‚πŸ€£πŸ€—πŸ’•πŸŒ

I don't believe I'm dyslexic. No problems in school or with b's, d's or p's. Can you develop dyslexia later in life?

This is a great topic, one that is overlooked too often. Mostly I have been struggling to find words, but I also get the wispy voice at times. Thanks for sharing this. Love you, Kelly p.s. doing much better πŸ˜‡

Word finding issues, were only the beginning. Then there was trouble finding words...in 2 different languages...sometimes even mixing and matching them. Then for the past year I've had the voice issues as well. Yup. I can definitely relate to this.

I can't even imagine!! 2 language's! I would be saying a lot of "I will figure it out later" πŸ˜πŸ€£πŸ€—πŸ’•πŸŒ

I just did speech therapy for 4 months it was well worth it.

I didn't realize how much I was affected til I started.

I would recommend that everyone consider speech therapy its extremely helpful at least it was for me

That's a really good idea! I wonder... πŸ€” πŸ€—πŸ’•πŸŒ

No problem at all! I just speak a language that no-one else seems to understand! I know exactly what I am saying, but the rest of the world sure has some problems....Ha!

I get this often. The word is there and I know it, just can't think of it. Of course, after the conversation is over, I remember the word I was looking for lol

I’m always looking for words to finish what I’m saying and seems like getting worse every day.

I must admit the older I get the worse my memory gets and I was already bad enough.πŸ˜‚πŸ˜…πŸ€£.

But at least MS gives me an excuse now. πŸ€ͺπŸ˜πŸ˜›.

Yes! I get so frustrated - I know I know the word and that it’s making its way to my mouth, but before I can say it, someone β€œhelps” me by filling in the blank!

Jesmcd2 profile image
Jesmcd2CommunityAmbassadorβ€’ in reply toTexandyroe

My friend does that. Grrr til I let her keep talking completely off topic to her mom for me.😁 Then corrected her. Amazing what one word can do.🀣😭 She doesn't do it so often anymore! πŸ€£πŸ˜πŸ€£πŸ€—πŸ’•πŸŒ
