Red Tailed Hawk

I took a pic of this Red Tailed Hawk in a spur of a moment riding down street in Arizona desert with my family. My hubby saw it first then I said, “stop, stop on side of road”. Then I stepped out on ledge of truck trying to balance on this, which is hard with MS as you understand, to position camera on truck roof. Very exciting!! I love hawks, falcons, owls, and all raptors including every other bird. I’m a Bird Photographer Geek, lol. Enjoy!

I would have seen that hawk but would have struggled to take the photo before he took off. m My picture would have been of a dot in the sky!

Love the photo! I enjoy seeing the raptors here in the PNW. Just a week ago I saw two bald eagles hanging out in a tree by the side of the road. I only have my phone camera so didn’t take a photo. They were too high up for a good pic but it was fun to see them.

That is awesome! They always look so regal. We have a lot of hawks here along with the peregrine falcons.

We had one on a wire in our backyard just a couple weeks ago. It was rather startling when it whooshed down and flew back up carrying a dead mouse (or something that size).
