I had a nerve test yesterday, this after being DXED a year and half ago. Was very eye opening. My Vagus nerve is badly damaged and wonder why it took this long and it was from a face book ad that I saw and went, not a suggestion from any DR. Anybody else have a nerve test and why do you think this wasn't suggested in the beginning?

It was at a neuropathy rehab facility, the doc there deals with alot of ALS patients, and after I spoke to the doc (and they saw me "Toddle" around) they started testing various nerves.. It was wild! And told them alot as to where I'm at and why. I highly suggest getting one.
I see a neuro rehab dr I see her before I see the neuro the rehab neuro tell the neuro what she found out from my visit with her and she gives her recommendations so that there is only dr prescribing medications
I went back today (last appt for the week) and this morning when I first woke up, and for 30 minutes I was full of energy, balance and clear headed! Yesterday I actually had an appetite! Amazing.
I'm now signed up for 3 months of laser therapy 2X a week. Now my knees hurt and my forearms and hands are tingley. I think nerves that had been "sleeping" are now awake and not happy..
Yes I think must be different as there is no pain with these test. Mostly laser and a Tens unit (nerve stimulation). I swear by this treatment (as no drugs are needed) and seems specific to those problem areas. I'll try to get more specific information today and will post what I find.
