Noooo, don't smoke! Go bowling instead like the young lady in your photo post! I will send you gentle vHugs and vSmiles. The pain in the neck (no, not me, silly) will pass. Just be 'patient' and listen to your doctor
Go bowling she saws!๐ I have a neck brace on silly! Can't lift anything over a gallon of milk. I feel like freakenstien! ๐Not supposed to bend over. ๐ I give up.
I think that you're correct with the crystal ball thing. It is starting to make sense to me now! I will still bowl with you, Jesmcd2 when you can. Think of the grand time we could have!
So sorry you're still hurting, rehabilitation sometimes takes a while. Don't pick up that old cigarette, your body is working double time to help you feel better. Hang on Girl!!! ๐๐ Blessings Cynthia
Oh dear friend, please don't smoke.. It will making healing take longer if your body can't get enough oxygen to the area for healing. Not to mention the health of the rest of your body. It takes time to heal and time to quit smoking. If you've smoked already, try to quit again soon. It took me many times to quit and stay quit. I'm smoke free over 20 years +. I found a "Quit Smoking" chat smoking chat room and it really helped! Try, Try again!!๐
so sorry for the pain of the surgery ..they should of given you something to last until you can get the med's in you for the after surgery pain...call them again and let them know you are still in lots of pain...maybe you have to have a stronger pain pill ...my husband has to have some really strong stuff because when he was in the service and had some surgeries now he has to have some major strong stuff ...good luck but if you have quit smoking and can still not smoke i know for fact it is hard to do but it is health for you....i miss mine but then i have the affects of smoking now with my breathing ...be careful and talk to the doctor even if you have to constantly call him ....just be careful...love and much happiness will come to you after all of this is over ...be safe...
You've got tons of what it takes to get through this. I believe in your ability to stay away from those killer cigarettes. I'm glad you got some pain meds to get you through more of the healing process. Hold on!
You have just had major neck surgery. Yes it hurts a lot, but if you start smoking again you may take much longer to heal, please be careful Jes. Hugs Jimeka ๐ค ๐ค
Jesmcd2, Iโm so sorry to hear about all the pain. It stinks; but it will be temporary...make the dr work with you on finding something to get you through these days. Please donโt smoke, it will slow down the healing in addition to giving you lung cancer. My mom had to quit smoking after she was diagnose with lung cancer before doctor would Even do the biopsy because of the severe effect smoking has on healing. Continue to move forward, a moment at a time and the post op pain will get better. Distract yourself with some good Netflix movies? Huggggs and prayers!
so sorry you hurt but DO NOT SMOKE!there is nothing worse then an ex smoker, and I say it will get better. You are talking to the women who will stand as close to a smoker as I can get and sniff it in! mmmmmmmm
Please don't start smoking again! I know it is sooo hard not to, but please don't. I begged my aunt to quit and she never did. She died of lung cancer and it was so hard. We love you!
Iโm sorry youโre having such a rough time! I had major surgery on my shoulder 3 years ago. It took 11 weeks for the pain to ease and months of PT till some motion came back. Unfortunately, you have to give this time.
On 9/11, the wonderful man who lived across the street from me died from lung cancer. It was unbearable watching him deteriorate. I had dinner last evening with his grieving wife. That cigarette just isnโt worth it Jes. I quit smoking permanently over 26 years ago. It was tough, but Iโm glad I did it! Good luck to you! I hope you feel better soon!!
So very sorry you are still hurting Jesmcd2 Smoking will only set your progress back and take you longer to heal. Please don't do it. Gentle hugs headed your way to help you get through this. Keep us updated when you can.
True. Smoking slows down the healing process. I'm praying for thos person. It's easy to just say quit but I chewed tobacco and I quit it's been over a year and I still be wanting it ๐
Sorry to hear about your pain and situation. I don't want to sound mean, but after losing a friend last week from 40 yrs of smoking and lung cancer, I can't help but tell you how better off you would be if you stop smoking. I say this also because human life is important and smoking makes it a lot worse. I know it is not easy but it is a matter of priority.
Jes you have to decide yourself what you want from your life, you are a grown woman so no one else can decide for you. My hubby & I quit together over 20 yrs ago it was not easy but health wise we are both better off. You need to know this cause I didn't before I quit BUT!! I found out girl you stink even after you shower & wash your hair you stink! I'm sorry but you need to know. I found this out after I quit how nasty I stunk, the smell gets into your hair & clothes &it follows you around. We have a grandson who had real bad asthma that helped us have reason to quit you have to want to quit or you will fail. I will be praying for you every day I'll even help you make a list of reasons of why you got to quit. Mary
