Anything with directions confuses me lately. Cooking, baking, quilting, are all very interesting! But I get there ~ eventually, or the whole thing lands in a trash heap!
I made a baby blanket, curtains and a pillow last week. If I had directions, they would have been trash!πππ No they weren't matching!ππ€ππ
The cognitive changes may be what bother (scare me) me most at times. Yesterday I had to buy some stuff for the church quilting group and some for myself at the same store. I was so proud that I remembered the PIN number for the church's card; I had even asked the clerk to check those things out first while I could still remember the number. She then check my own things through, and all the while I was frantically searching my brain for my own PIN number that I've used forever. I never could come up with it. Good thing I had cash. My writing has taken a hit, too; I lately tend to write incomplete words or the wrong word. Frustrating!
My handwriting has gotten horrible and then when I mean to write one thing down, something else gets written down. I don't notice until someone else points it out. All I can do is laugh about it cause I didn't realize it until someone pointed it out..oh well
That's happened to me in the grocery store. I couldn't remember my pin number. All my groceries had been checked and bagged. Because I didn't have cash (and without the pin number couldn't get any, hahahaha), I had to leave the cart there, go home, get a check book, and return. And by that time I had remembered the pin number! This is SO HARD to explain to folks who don't have MS.
Verbal directions forget It! You've lost me after step 2. Write it down and then maybe I will understand what you want me to do on a good day. I've drawn blanks on people's names that I've known for years. The list goes on...and on...and on...you get the idea.
