I'm telling you, it's real! And I'm out of Post it's! I wonder if I can get MSAA to send me some?π€ π So I can't remember if I posted this one or not! So here we go again!π Look I have MS to ya know!ππ
Anyway, tricks? Tips? Coffee? Don't ask for my phone number, you won't get it. Cause I don't know it. π It's sad I know.
I have been playing a memory game. It seems to help. And my neuro is happy with it. But I think he is happy to get me out of the office.
I do get real snappy when ppl want me to do to much at once. Not sure if that is the multitasking?
What about you guys?
Jump in anywhere! Would love to hear from you! βΊοΈ
Hi Jes - Memory games ? Scrabble is at least vaguely pleasant - just do *not displace my bagged place as last... <LOL> As for coffee ? Coffee is a good dilute for water...!
I forget, and just tell the table that I have forgotten, a total 'brain fart' ! I laugh. Refuse to let these hiccups rule my life - I used to be able to stand up and deliver, nowadays, no way - I sit down and tell em 'brain fart' darlings, forget it !
One thing noticed, vocabulary. Mine used to be good, now...i scrabble forthe words. Tut.
refuse to let it get me down. Can turn to well written books on excellent subjects and enjoy good writing. Most relaxing -and, can always crit when I disagree with syntax, use of language, poor colour !
Thanks for a fun topic - Book I can recommend ? Rage to Live, biography of Richard and Isobel Burton - Richard Burton being the noted Victorian explorer - worth every page turning page. You will have to check for the author, I gotta brain fart !
Ah Scrabble, where a dictionary and I can never be friends! My spelling and theirs never match in this poor dyslexic mind! Although Google and I try on occasion!βΊοΈ
As far as coffee goes your so right. I would rather have the water!π
Welcome to the community BTW, can't say I have seen your font before. How are you Ruadh π€ππ
I could be the picture on this poster - it's me! The poster child for MS cogfog. Every word of it. And, if you already posted this Jes, I don't remember it.π€£
The forgetting is frustrating, but I just play it off and make a joke of it. Iβm the queen of lists and notes on my phone....canβt write notes on post itβs or anything because tremors are so bad. But I agree with Ruadh - itβs the inability to come up with words when Iβm trying to say something. As a former language arts and speech and drama teacher, itβs pretty humbling. Iβve gotten to where I tend to stay out of conversations any more, because I come off as a bumbling idiot.
Awesome that you brought this up because I screwed up my doctors appointment appointment Monday. After driving 80 miles the receptionist informed me that my appointment was at 11:40 but I thought it was at 1:00. But thank God they worked me in right away. Receptionist was at my very sweet dermatologist office.
But even crazier than that was a couple of weeks ago I went to pick up my Jojo from good news in an after school bible study. When the gentleman asked me who I was picking up and I couldnβt remember my own grandsons name. But when I remembered his name they explained to me that good news club met on Thursday and I was there on Friday. That was just a couple of instances that I had to endure.π π€ͺπ
sometimes it is memory for me,but mainly it is spelling!I have such a hard time remembering how to spell anything and just speaking words fall out of my head.this is the conversation between hubby and me
I found a link to an MS cruise next year that starts in Boston and goes up to Novia Scocia with a few stops along the way. I'm seriously considering going on it. I've just got to find it again.
They've got one to the Caribbean next month but I can't go on that one. I only found out about it a few days ago and don't have enough time to save up for it.
Cog Fog is so irritating! I must write down the time I wake up, time when I take pills, how I felt at that time, so on... If I could keep a voice recorder with me at all times, that would be helpful.
I've used my phone's voice recorder to help me try to remember something but then forgot I made the voice recording!π£π€π’ My truck also has a voice recording built into the rear view mirror but I always forget it's there. I've had this truck for almost 13 years now. I have used it but then forget I used it. Maybe if I remember in the morning I'll have to listen to what's recorded...should be interesting ππ€£ππ€£
I tried to put it in my phone, and I couldn't find it! π I was at the store going ok goggle list! Over an over. O got nothing! Other ppl phones were going nuts tho!π€£ππ€ππ
Hi Jesmcd2 !!!! This is so me and I have been telling my family and friends and no one is listening or believing me when I explain this going on. They respond with I have a bad memory too, it's old age, etc. I am to the point now where I have to write myself notes, I have posted notes, I set alarms for everything. I even tell my 7 year old things as a backup. My daughter is the only one who laughs with me about this!
