I’m sure we’ve shared about this before, but would you mind sharing what, if anything, has helped you deal with vertigo? Dramamine has helped a bit with the nausea.

I don’t suffer with it but my daughter does. I am getting increasingly concerned about my daughter, as she has many prerequisites such as migraines, vertigo, but how do you tell a nurse to see if she should get tested for ms? They say ms doesn’t run in families let’s hope and pray that it doesn’t. Interested to read what others do so that firstly you will know and also I can tell my daughter, Blessings Jimeka 🤗

According to the Menzies Institute, MS does have a genetic component. I've always thought that made sense, and the research now says it's true. I hope and pray she doesn't have it, but I would talk with a doctor and request testing. Studies are showing that the earlier one starts on a DMT, the longer we stave off SPMS and disability. Something is causing that vertigo, even if it isn't MS, and I would hope she could get treated for whatever it is.

The first time I had it, I had to stay in bed with my eyes closed. When I told my PCP, she gave me a prescription. Meclizine. Now, most of the time, I'm just a little dizzy. It isn't as bad when I am sitting down but I still don't dare to drive.

I haven't had success with meclizine, but know many others have. Lately, my vertigo is mainly when I'm sitting down and being still.

The only thing that works for me is a day of rest. This usually happens when I have done too much and my body tells me to take a break. This also happens when I get to much heat out in the sun. Usually once I cool down and relax it goes away 👍. Just had this yesterday and lasted all day and today fortunately it is gone🙏. Hope you are able to get this figured out 👍🙏😉 Ken 🐾🐾

Oh dear greaterexp that's horrible. I don't have vertigo so I don't know what could be done to alleviate it. I hope that someone can offer something that you could try or discuss with your health care provider. :-D
