Lightheaded/vertigo
I have been experiencing this symptom for years. It was one of the symptoms that led to my diagnosis. When it effects my balance or makes me nauseous I take motion sickness meds. Works well for me.
It’s been a problem at times, but fortunately doesn’t last for long spells. I do as Juleigh21 does, and the meds usually help with nausea part. It maybe good idea to let your neurologist know.
If I bend down too fast to pick something up I get light headed when I straighten back up. I also won't go on swing sets or amusement park rides or ride in the back seat of newer model cars because I will barf. (Specific, I know)🤣
I haven't done anything about these things but made adjustments or avoid them altogether.
A friend who has this problem takes an over the counter motion sickness med.
I have also had this off and on for twenty five years. I will go months and months and no problem then I’ll have this. Usually doesn’t last long fortunately 🙏 Ken 🐾🐾
Like many, I've had this for decades. Fortunately it usually doesn't last long (but I have fainted several times), but it is an unsettling feeling. In my case, I suspect it is related to temperature. I have no recollection of it occurring in cool or cold weather.
I developed vertigo and dizziness when I started taking a higher dose of alpha lipoic acid.
I had it a couple times intermittently last year and then this May I had it for a month straight continuously. I was worried it was another new normal to get used to but the spinning stopped. I still have some intermittent spacey feeling in my head. I did try Dramamine in May but it made me feel worse. My neurologist gave me Gabapentin when I saw her last month. I tried one over the weekend in case it made me really drowsy the next day. My spaciness is a little better. I am going to take it again this weekend and see what happens. I can take it 3 times a day if I am having dizziness/vertigo.
I get it every once in a awhile but it was just one of the symptoms that got the ms ball rolling. All I had to do was barely turn my head and my whole world would spin. I've never gotten nauseous because of though. I just sit or hold onto something solid until it stops.
Hi having been diagnosed with me and having a few episodes of vertigo my new doctor who i might say is quite young showed me how to do an exercise relating to vertigo.at first I thought no way this is making it worse.you need someone behind you to take hold off your head as you lay down with your head over the deserve then turn your head slowly to the left hold for a minute then move your head slowly to the right and hold.get up slowly as this does make you feel light headed hence the reason for someone helping you through all the moves.I do find it works for me but I can't recommend for everyone but we'll worth a try
