I had my first infusion of Rituxan on Tuesday. They set the drip at a low rate, so I was there 6:45 hours. Other than the time element, I was fine. I took a bunch of puzzle books and coloring pages but didn't get much done. I ate a bunch of snacks and I did get a little tired, but noises kept me awake. They said that because I did well, next time I would only be there 3 hours.. My nurse was really good, very pleased that I had no reactions. Do it all over again in 2 weeks.

I kept waiting to feel any reaction, and my nurse was great about checking in with me. She said my arm was one of the first she'd ever had that didn't bleed when She took the needle out.
That is awesome news, CalfeeChick Is your infusion going to be every two weeks? Or is this just because you are starting with it? Ocrevus infusions are every six months, but the initial infusion is done 1/2 at a time, two weeks apart.
Thank you! It's been a few days now and I'm feeling just fine. I'm blaming the steroids for the fact I took a bunch of snacks in anticipation of the length of time I'd be there, and now I'm eating more and looking around the house for wherever I hid the chocolate.🍫🍫🍫😊😊
That’s great news! I’m thrilled that you didn’t have any problems. The next will be even easier. You might want to bring earplugs next time so you can get some sleep 💤. Please let us know how you make out with the infusion in 2 weeks. I’m going for my Rituxan on 8/6.
