Hello to all! I was diagnosed with RRMS back in 2007. I have been very blessed with only a few relapses. But as I get older (62) things are getting more difficult. My balance is the biggest challenge. I do use a walking stick instead of a cane because of my height. I also use the walls, the furniture and my husband for help, LOL. I am also dealing with cognitive issues. Those are so frustrating! My mom and younger sister have been diagnosed with RRMS. Mom turns 85 this October and she has been such a inspiration for me. My sister has had many challenging relapses. Let me stop, some days I can go on and on, LOL. I am looking forward to lending support and if possible answering some questions.

Thank you for joining us and for your introduction. It's amazing that for so long, MS was not thought to have any genetic causes. The excellent course from the Menzies Institute discusses this:

We look forward to getting to know you better. I appreciate that you are already looking at ways to help others, but I hope you find support here, too.

Take a look at all that MSAA has to offer:

Welcome to this great group Slypanther I was diagnosed in 2006 with RRMS. IN the beginning, I had a lot of relapses but I have been lucky not to have any more since 2008. Though, I am unable to work due to constant vertigo. Some days are worse than others but it is always there in some form. Other than that everything else has been pretty good.

Look forward to getting to know you,

Jessie
