Has anyone been switched to the generic brand of copaxone? If so have you noticed any changes in symptoms?

generic copaxone
That was just starting to come out when I switched to Tecfidera but I'm sure someone will reply.

I switched as soon as Glutopa was available. I found it to be the same as Copaxone. The people at Glutopa were very nice and autoinjector Glutopa sends you works much better the Copaxone autoinjector does.
I just found out that I also need to switch to Glatiramer Acetate as of July 1st. I also am concerned about any side effects.
I have been taking generic for about 5 months and have not noticed any difference.
Which generic?
Glatiramer Acetate
My health plan switched me from Copaxone to Glatiramir Acetate 3 months ago. I resisted the switch (talking to my doctor) which extended the transition nearly a year, but ultimately my HMO said I’d have to pay out of pocket if I wanted to stay on Copaxone. To my surprise, the transition has been pretty painless! There are the same site injection issues - raised welts that itch for days after. One new symptom was some nausea post-injection for the first few months - it gets better. Also, during the first few months, I’ve felt more MS symptoms - more muscle cramps, more stiffness, more tingling - but nothing that would be considered a new exacerbation or relapse. Only time will tell if the generic is as effective as Copaxone. All we can do is hope.
