Copaxone at Last

The medication FINALLY arrived yesterday. I have been trying to fill the RX since January 7! The neurologist’s office is supposed to “Facilitate you having your DMT.” What a joke😡🤬🤪

I sure understand. It seems like a constant battle. You've won this one!

For now. I still have to convince the insurance co that my PBA is a permanent condition, since they only approved the Nuedexta that treats it for 3 months. 🤔

Would you ever have guessed it would be so difficult? I thought I finally had my Copaxone Rx situation finally resolved, but had to go through it all over again in February. It feels like our new job some days, doesn't it?

I am usually on the phone with either doctor's office, insurance, or pharmacy. I always start with their web sites, and then go to a real live person. Now, I recently changed insurance companies, so I need to get my medications re-registered. It seems like a herculean effort at times but I remind myself that Rome certainly wasn't built in a day! Keep up your forward progress, my friend! :-D

How do people go on who are on opiates like I am and the insurance company decides not to issue it, I would be beside myself if I couldn’t get it. I have been on oxycodone for nearly 8 years now, my body is used to it, and to be deprived I would be in a mess. How I wish I didn’t need it. 😊

I take Morphine Sulfate (generic form of Kadian), as well as Adderall and muscle relaxers. I have had to go without each of them many times. It is hard enough to manage when I have all of my medications, not being able to get one or more is pure torture. (For me & my husband and son)

My Drs ASS istant goes out of her way to never respond to prior authorization requests. The Insurance Company and pharmacy are always shocked by the lack of attention and professionalism they get from that office.

But I love my Dr and have seen him since 2005. 😤😡🤪

At least your doctor is good to you. Have you discussed with your doctor about his ASS istant? You might not be the only one.

I know, and I shudder at the thought of not being able to be successful with my efforts. I don't know what I would do. :(

Are you on opiates as well? 🤗

No, but my last infusion there was concern that it was about to go off the rails. My insurance was ending on February 28th, and my infusion was on February 28th. I have had issues with my insurance denying my meds and I had to have the doctors office send in the script before it was re-approved. These meds are baclofen and gabapentin.

I am of the belief in that 'he who has the gold makes the rules'. Doesn't make it right but it might be the case! :(

Same with me Jimeka. I’ve been on oxycodone since 2007 so I would be in the nuthouse if they cut me off. I wish I didn’t need it either but I’ve been on it so long I wish it would help as well as it used to.
