I recently shaved my legs and I may have brought an infection on they turned really red and there is a red line that’s diminishing but I’m terrified I may have got an infection, has anyone cut themselves on Ocrevus and got a serious infection??? It’s Saturday and tomorrow is Easter so I can’t call my doctors office.

Is there an urgent care nearby that you can go to? Don’t mess around if you think you have an infection. I’m on Ocrevus but haven’t had an infection thankfully. When I fell several months ago and gashed my forehead, I went to urgent care just to be cautious.

I agree with the others, get yourself to a hospital and get it checked out. Let us know how you get on, Blessings Jimeka 🦋

Well I went to urgent care today first thing in the a.m nurse practitioner that looked at it and put me on doxycycline 100mg tablets and Mupirocin ointment. When I told her I was on acrevus for my m.s. she didn’t seemed alarmed or anything, she even said I may not need the antibiotic pills just the ointment but I’m still going to take the pills for reassurance. 🤞🤞🤞🤞

I am on ocrevus but haven't heard about how infections could be serious. Fill me in please? Good thoughts to you for a speedy recovery

I read a guy got a little cut on his finger or wherever and it got infected while he was on Ocrevus and to be hospitalized and given vancomycin IV and said it was his 5th time hospitalized for an infection while on Ocrevus. Totally freaked me out. I have a call in with my neurologist office waiting for a return call to ask about this.

Horse714 What a scare you had. I would have not given it a second thought but now I will be more aware should this happen to me. I hope that you are doing better now. :-D

So far so good , called my neurologist office and told them, but they haven’t called me back yet. So I think if they thought it was more serious I would of heard by now, I called this morning it’s almost 2:00.

You are probably right but you reached out to your neurologist office and made them aware of your situation. Continue on the road to recovery, Horse714 :-D
