Hi everyone!

So I will receive my first dose of ocrevus and tomorrow's tomorrow, which will be March 20th and the first day of spring in the northern hemisphere of course. I don't know what to expect, but am obviously hoping for the best.

Thoughts and prayers with you...had mine last week...infusion was relatively uneventful and many tolerate the med well...I played video games and watched tv throughout the five hour visit...I packed a banana and some Ensure...second dose is in ten days...blessings friend 🙏🏻🦋💕

How did you do with the steroids and Benadryl? Does it make you tired or full of energy? Or does it balance itself out?

To be honest...I don’t think I slept a wink the night before the infusion...so at some point during administration, I may have dozed off in a light sleep...the Benadryl was likely calming while I was there, but the steroid kept me up all night again...I must admit tho... my house was VERY clean the next day!!

Thank you so much for giving me the inside scoop, because I have been asking myself questions that I have no answers to.

So far I have had the first two infusions of Ocrevus. Both were uneventful, they had no major side effects during the infusion unfortunately I have had two UTI infections, and every time I get one, my MS is exacerbated If you have any symptoms catch it early

I am also hopeful the Ocrevus will slow my progression. I hope the next dose doesn’t give me another one

Take care

Ellen

Hopefully it all goes well for you. Take something to do if you don't know anyone at the infusion center. I went from Tysabri, which is a 1 hr infusion to Ocrevus so I was familiar with the nurse who gives the infusion.

I remember taking tysabri years ago, but it was at a different place. Fortunately my wife is going with me for the first dose

You will be thrilled to know it is the only MS DMT to slow down the progression of disability. No one here has any side effects to the infusion. Good luck! Steroids will make you fill of energy, but it's fake, so be careful.

I have had 4 doses of Ocrevus. My advice is when you get the Benadryl and it makes you sleepy, don’t fight it. If you let yourself you will get a good nap. I, like many of the other folks who responded, am up all night following the infusion thanks to the steroids ( but I don’t clean) best of luck and many prayers your way🙏🙏🙏😇😁💜

You'll be fine. Just relax and before you realize...you're finished. Periodically, take a glance at the injection site to ensure there is no swelling. This is to ensure the "O" is flowing smoothly. I had my first 300 near end August, and the second in early September. March 15th, just days ago, I had the full course. Sat & Sun were days of no energy, but the energy is returning. I'm hoping the O will be beneficial to all who try the course. And, if not the Ocrevous, maybe stem cell processes will help. Let's pray that some breakthrough occurs soon. I just entered into a new birth year and anticipate 15-20 more. Have a smooth and calm infusion.
