Find a reason to smile

Find a reason to smile, a pretty simple request, with no conditions. Your life might be scary. I do not know what scary things there are in your life, but why do "YOU" not take a few brief seconds of your day and just smile. At something maybe humorous, something silly maybe even something downright stoopid. Seriously the news these days provides a lot that "YOU" can just shake your head at, smile and say "I thought I was the crazy one, these blokes have no clue" and thoughts to that effect.

No, just smile, smile today right now. There is lots to not smile at, but "YOU" my friend have a secret. Inside "YOU" burns a fire, a fire growing steadily stronger each moment. Sometimes Relapsing Remitting ms (RRms) weakens your fire, but it never extinguishes it. It burns inside "YOU", giving "YOU" warmth, strength and a smile and a determination to go onwards. No matter how anybody may say that "YOU" can not.

A smile that comes from the knowledge that this affliction may be scary at times, but "YOU" can handle it. This disease has met its match in "YOU", "YOU" of all people walk the RRms path with shoulders back, head firmly locked on your future. Your eyes are looking forward, firmly fixed on your prize. A prize decided by "YOU" and you alone. This is your goal, a goal just for "YOU". A goal that nobody but "YOU" can accomplish. During your many many years with RRms, this goal may change, and that is okay, just always have a goal. Something to aim for, perhaps a purpose that "YOU" want to achieve. Something on which during those dark lonely am hours that "YOU" can use as a guide to hold "YOU" through those next five minutes, then the next five and the next.

This can be and sometimes is rather scary, but my friend. "YOU" have got this. That smile of yours is there to light the way. A beacon in moments of anguish and despair. Find something to smile at and never let it go. Smile be happy and contented with yourself. This is a very long path we travel. Doing it with a smile makes it a little easier, and that is good.

Slow down... There'a song that my hubby sings to me, Starts out, "Slow down. You move to fast! Gotta make the moment Last!" 🎢🎢🎢 I think it was by Simon & Garfunkel. πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ€©πŸ€©
