Hey gang it's Fancy. We always make it a point to share our spring and summer beautiful flowers that pop up in our Gardens and around our homes. It's tough not to get depressed in all blue in the winter when it rains for 2 weeks straight and it's cladding there's no sunshine. Will stand up and say I will not become depressed! To waylay this effect look around you and find the beautiful things that you're missing because you're looking at side of the gray and cloudy days. I'm sure some of my winter Beauties with you and I challenge everyone else to do the same! Fancy..
The first flower is an Amarillo bulb. An interesting fact I just found out about them is that an order for the florist to time the blooms on these bulbs they actually cut off all the root and put the bulb down in a wax base. The bulb / plant realizes it's dying without its roots and it shoots up this beautiful Bloom quickly and throws out seeds two tries to reseed itself so that it doesn't die out completely! Once again I point to the fact that we don't give enough credit to animals and plants to understand they know their environment and they protect themself as best they can! We do not know better then nature! Dumb fact but I thought it was interesting. Fancy.

Erash, I just recently heard the story of how they make the amaryllis bulbs Bloom at such a specific time. It amazes me that florist and plant specialist come up with these ideas and Market them so well. This is my first experience with an amaryllis bulb but you can bet it will be my last because think it's gorgeous. Before I found out how they do this Force blooming I had planned to try to replant this bald and save it and keep it till next year or to bloom out a second time. Obviously now I think that would be a wasted effort! I'm so glad that everyone enjoyed this post and this beautiful flower. Fancy.
My mom had one once. We watched this stem grow and grow and grow with no flower for the longest time! We joked about how it was an alien growing in the house. Then the flower popped and WOW!
