I KNOW NONE OF US WANT TO HEAR THE WORD WINTER BUT

Hi 👋 all I know this is not what you want to hear but I think we may be having a tuff winter. I had an old Navy man that was in Pearl harbor 1941, well you see I have many Oak trees 🌳 around my house and when the acorns fall off the trees I can hear them hit my roof on their way to down. It is only mid-August and they are coming of the 🌳

Well my neighbor use to say when the acorns fall early we will be having a hard winter.

One year they came off the 🌳 trees so bad I had my 3 year old wears his bike helmet so he wouldn’t get hit on the head.

Just saying but I hope I am wrong.

That’s Sandra’s almanac for today.

Hey I wanted to bring a little humor into our lives LOL

I hope not, but I am ready for cooler temp. Low 80’s for the next four months would be great 👍. Hope you have a wonderful day 🙏🐾 Ken

Too late I’ve been grounded for years. LOL

I was just wondering if anyone was awake LOL 😆

You know I don’t or should I say WE don’t want that season to be a bad one.

I love you guys. Enjoy the summer,

I just don’t like those acorns hitting the roof, maybe I should have that tree 🌳 taken down. NO

ENJOY THE DAY 😃👍😊👋

Yes, ssdw1958, in no time at all we will be complaining about the cold and then we will be longing for the 80 degree days that we still complain about now! It seems we can't be made Happy by Mother Nature! LOL! I guess the old saying is correct in that is the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. Fancy.

Thanks Fancy1959

I'd rather have winter than summer, spring or fall is better

ssdw1958 Those old ways of reading the weather are often quite accurate! It wouldn't surprise me if the Navy vet was right on. Here it's thumping hickories (and squirrels) on my roof. Acorns are sparse this year and winds have brought down a lot of tiny branch tips with their acorns attached.

Now it’s a going to be a good day the humidity is going to be in the 60’s YEAH. But it’s still summer anything could & will happen.

Summer has never been my favorite season because of heat and humidity. Until I started using a cane, i loved a snowy winter. Now I just want the cold weather and snow on weekends so most people can stay inside nice and safe!

Hey Sandy,

I hope that you are wrong about the acorns and predicting a bad winter!

I remember one year the acorns being so bad that when I was trying to rake them up, it was like walking on ball bearings. And the following Spring, the acorns that I missed picking up, were growing on the lawn. I had an Oak tree farm!

I don't remember the winter being bad that year.

It was pretty bad last year, and I don't remember the acorns being abundant.

I might be losing my mind here ~ acorns and winter wise!

Keep smiling,

Carole :-D

Being cold is too much trouble I hope it doesn’t really snow much

I know what you mean I think it was about 6 years ago we had maybe a foot of snow for the whole winter that was the best I worked at a school and we might have had one snow day and we got out of school early. I live in Massachusetts. Best winter ever. I wouldn’t mind that type of year.

I live in the Southeast so bring on the dryer less humid weather! My body living with MS just cant take it, as ya'll know. Fall and winter are the best for me. It's sad moved here for the weather but now my family is over the summer heat too! Hmm..in a perfect world I could go to Maine for the summer & then back south for winter! Would I be considered a snowbird then? Maybe an RV is in my future...Hugs peace & everyone

My sister lives in South California and I am in Massachusetts. I know you say come to Maine well they have been warm too and we have the humidity I don’t know where you would be better but if you had an RV you could go any where.

I hope you have a great day.
