Does anyone else experience poor night vision. I can see great during the day (with contacts. I’m nearsighted) but night is difficult. My optometrist blames it on my ms but I’m not sure. They always blame ms

Poor night vision
I have poor night vision and MS has nothing to do with it. If I am out during the day and as it transitions to evening I have a difficult time seeing.
If I venture out when it's dark I am able to see better. I am not sure why that is
I have a hard time at night. Especially when I'm fatigued. My eye specialists agreed that it's probably MS related. ❤🌷
Have you been evaluated by an ophthalmologist?
Sorry it is NOT your MS it is your eyes. A lot of people have night vision problems & MS has nothing to do with it. I've not been able to drive after dark for several yrs. Dr. told me it has to do with age & happens more to women than to men. I read an article about it & I'll try to find it.
I also have a hard time seeing at night I am not driving now. But you have to understand I live where there are a lot of country roads that are dark. I also have been told where sun glasses when it is sunny and after a snow storm.
I have also had a hard time with night vision all my life. I stopped wearing contacts when I started having problems putting them in due to my left hand shaking due to the ms. So now I wear glasses and still have problems, especially going from daylight into a movie theater but after about 10 minutes my eyes adjust . I am 70 years old and was diagnosed at the age of 56. 😀😀
I have a hard time with night vision. I believe it to be related to the ms. Everyone is different and age has a lot to do with bad night vision. However I am too young to have age as a factor. I use glasses at night to drive, it helps. I try not to drive at night though.
I also have poor night vision but so does my husband who does not have MS. I figure we're just old...
I blame it partly on my age, and mostly on my career ~ being a computer programmer! Glasses do help with my night vision ~ especially when driving!
Yes, and mine is due to MS damaging reflexes. The worst is bright lights at night on a dark poorly lit road.
