This afternoon begins my two weeks of Mother visitation from Australia. I am nervous I am excited I am apprehensive. I like it much better when I go to her. Then there are only two personalities, mine and hers, and we have had a lot of experience together. Now I have mine, hers she who must be obeyed and my joint dog. Well, it is only two weeks or so, We shall see how it goes, anyway it's Christmas time so fun stress-free times all round.
Of course, I can just go lie in my recliner and ignore everybody until the second of January 2019. That does seem like a very good idea, I might try it. " YOU"should try it as well if it gets a bit much. Remember your goal is to make it to 2019 with no ill effects.

Enjoy your time with your mom, and remember to also take care of yourself. I will follow your advice of retreating to my recliner, and add a cup of hot cocoa, a warm blanket, and a lap cat, or two ~ when the need arises.
