I have my MRI tomorrow to see if the medication is doing it’s job. I want to say it is but it’s so hard to now. I’m not a big fan of the mri. So hard to lay still for that long. I make up stories in my head or count the bug stickers they put on the tube. Or name the bugs. Sometimes I talk to my parent who are deceased. I know it’s a necessary evil but I’m not a fan.

Mri tomorrow.
Good luck tomorrow Smartcloud1981 I usually count the pings during the different scans to help pass the time. I have fallen asleep before and they had to redo a portion of the scan. Keep us updated!

I discovered I was claustrophobic after the brain MRI in 2016. Fortunately, my doctor prescribed Valium for the next 2, which caused me to sleep through the major part of them. Is that an option for you?
I hope it goes well. Let us know, won’t you?
5mg valium before the MRI and just sleep through it.
RoyceNewton and greaterexp you're 100% right about valium.
Most doctors ask whether you need some calming medicine prior to a lengthy MRI. No need to say no to Valium if you know MRIs are painful for you.
Mental games help. I pick a category (flowers, cities) and run through the alphabet, trying to name something that starts with each letter.
