Malfunctioning MRI

Just s little rant. I wake up this morning to get ready for my MRI. Get out of the shower a have a message saying the machine I was scheduled on has been malfunctioning throughout the night. There is someone coming to fix it and they will call if it’s up and running earlier then they think. Or call for a new time. I took the day off for this and Monday for my follow up neuro appointment and my boyfriend took Monday to go to appointment with me . So things may need to be changed which could be hard because short staffed at work right now. I know things beyond our control happen it’s just very frustrating when you plan days around appointments. Sorry for my little rant.

I understand your frustration. I’m sure the MRI folks are doing the best they can. I’m sure they are frustrated, too with the loss of revenue and having to shuffle everyone. It just doesn’t help your side of it. I’m sorry and hope you’ll be able to get things worked out.

How frustrating. I guess the silver lining can be that it didn't malfunction while you were in it.

Smartcloud1981 Rant away! You have a valid reason to do so. I hope your employer is supportive and that everything gets rescheduled.

The mri is rescheduled for another day off. I’ll call neuro tomorrow and pray I can get that scheduled for a day off.

At least you were not in the tube when it malfunctioned! I hope it all gets sorted soon.

Oh honey that's why were here to help you rant & rave even. Been there my self a few years ago, had an MRI scheduled when we got there they were working on the machine then they said just a few more minutes about 2 hrs. later they canceled everyone as there was NO fixing that machine. It was about 2 weeks later when they called they had a different machine. hope yours is better.

Thank you. I’m sorry you had to deal with that experience. Mine was better they called so I wouldn’t show up. They called a few hours later to reschedule. Just annoyed cause weekends are busy at work and I took the day off. Plus now I’ll have to reschedule neuro which could be awhile as thanksgiving is next week.

Thank you it sure is a pain when the scheduling gets jammed, it has happened more than once over different reasons but that was long while back and life goes on. Hope you don't have any more problems getting yours straightened out.
