Hi Everyone,

I am looking into getting a chairlift for going up and down my stairs. Do any of you have one and if so how long did it take to install, cost, ease of use, etc. Anything you can tell me would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Brenda

My best friend had one in his split entry home, so actually two, one up and one down from landing. His brother and him installed both in about six hours. Worked great πŸ‘. After about six years his wife got worse and has stayed upstairs so he sold them to another friend of ours for his wife. There house is on a hill so you can access upper level thru garage with two steps, but he put in a ramp. They also have main floor utilities. Good Luck πŸ€πŸ‘πŸ™πŸΎπŸ˜‰πŸŽƒ Ken PS, he paid $5,000.00 for both and sold them used for $2,500.00

Sorry for the delay, but better late than never. Thanks for your info. I now have a stairlift and I wish I had done it sooner. Thank you and take care.

We have a center hall colonial house, and our kids got me one about 4 years ago. It goes straight up from the first floor, to the second where the bedrooms are. I love it! I don't know the cost, but installation took a few hours (the company did the instillation). It's very easy to use, and so helpful!

Just ran across this: "Stairs stairs and more stairs. We all slow down as we age. Most of us would probably prefer to spend our energy walking on flat ground in a park or somewhere nice rather than just trying to go up and down the stairs in our homes. If you have safety concerns or just aren't as mobile as you used to be, you can fill out a quick form at stairliftquote.com to get all the info you need to start moving around the house more easily." I don't have a chair lift.

I bought a Bruno stairlift. They came out and installed it. It was about $2300.00. Easy to use, but it is slow. Grandkids love it.
